Whenever you switch from driving a manual to an auto.

 

I'm sure there's a few people on here that would be able to offer useful suggestions.....

 

It was harder for me to figure out what to do with my left foot. I stomped on the brake with my left foot a few times thinking there was a clutch there. I guess that's what happens when you drive a standard for 20 years and switch to an auto full time.

 

I'm on Tacoma #4, and Toyota #5. The first 3 Tacoma's and the Tundra were all sticks. I can't count the times I've gone to grab the shifter on my current Tacoma (auto) and started to downshift when I was coming to a stop. The shifter is in the exact same spot!

Trade offs both ways....All things equal, I really like the auto. Really good on slick stuff!

How's cave life? We ended up not having the grand kids and went to a wine festival instead. Crab legs and wine......a LOT of wine....

 

Cave was nice and coool, did the "new entrance" with stalactites and stalagmites and "frozen Niagra". Trip was tire of walking halfway through, legs are too short. Then shrimp boil and brews at the KOA. Good times

 

Mammoth Cave is awesome and if anyone hasn't been there you are really missing out. Highly recommend lol

 

Yeah the first few times I drove my sisters car I kept putting my foot down for the clutch. I even turned it off before putting it in park

 

Way back in the early 1960's my dad contracted with the US Parks Dept to install a bridge inside Mammoth Cave. They also ran a lot of conduit for wiring lights. I was 5 when he was doing the work.

Haha yep. Ive never owned an auto. I even took my license test on a 5 speed. I dread the day I buy a tow truck cause it will most definitely be an auto. Besides that, manual for life

 

My dad's '99 and '07 tacos and my old '86 bmw and '01 celica were all sticks. I miss driving one, but having an auto has spoiled me. I do get to practice every so often on customers bmw's.

 

I learned to drive in a '69 Autocar tri-axle dump truck with a 13-speed Roadranger tranny. First car was a '68 Z28 with a stick.....Many Jeeps and trucks with sticks. Several cars with sticks....'84 Toyota, '88 Toyota, '94 Toyota, and 2000 Toyota with sticks.... Probably drove 10 million miles with a stick.


You couldn't GIVE me one now.....ESPECIALLY in a 4wd.....

Thanks! Offroad Expo pickup. The booth was OZ4WD but I'm pretty sure they're Auxbeam with the 3D optics. Very pleased with them. Custom street sign brackets too.

 

May be selling the white wheels to my buddy with a 1500. We just test fit them and he instantly goes "I fucking want them" 16x8's and 35's on a 4 door white Chevy 1500 with a 3inch lift.
