I have the factory installed led lights in the bed but not bright enough under the tonneau cover. Can the power source be ran off these lights already installed?

Any Canadians order this and can tell me if you get nailed on customs, brokerage, etc? I have found that shipping USPS-International you don't get clobbered with brokerage.

Installed it this evening. Overall I am satisfied.

Pros: Fast shipping and Matt was very quick with communication. With 2 strands under the hood it is extremely bright. Well packaged and organized. Quick install with good directions if you need them.
Cons: For the price I believe that some weatherproofing could be added to the kit. I cut and replaced all connections with heat shrink butt connectors and terminals. I also sleeved the wiring. The cost was breakdown was less than $2.

    My $0.02

@hoodboogie what size sleeving did you use? I have some split loom here but it may be too large for this project.

I used 1/4 techflex I had laying around from a computer PSU sleeping project. I think I will purchase some with a little better heat rating.

The split loom would probably be best underbody. It may be a PITA trying to route it for the hood.

Is there a multi-color kit? Can't decide on which color I want. I'm leaning towards the cool white but there is times where the UV/Black would be cool to provide less intense lighting.

I can make a multi color kit but don't recommend them as they only work with a remote, not able to have a bed mounted switch. Also it doesn't have UV color. :(

A single color kit with remote to dim might be a better option, or (1) UV and (1) white kit.

I wonder if it would be possible to mount 2 LED kits? Is there enough room to do this? I could wire it to a 3 way switch and cycle between the colors or possible just mount 2 switches.

Yes. I currently have (1) cool white and (1) warm white in my truck.

Cool, sounds like that's going to be my solution. 1 cool white / 1 UV. I will order these up as soon as it cools down out here and have some time to actually install

    Thanks Matt

I got my bed lighting kit finished last night and I'm really please with the final product. Let me start by saying I'm really impressed with how quick matt got this out to me- ordered last Friday night and it was at my door on Monday. Very well packaged and the overall product was well thought out. I installed the bed switch in the same location but raised it a little to center it. I predrilled the location and found it much easier to pull the outlet/ storage box and drill from the opposite side as I was able to keep the drill straight. This also helped by giving a good area to wire all of the connections vs laying on my back working from the bottom. I also added a cab switch that I had left over from my caliraised light bar. I don't have any switch blank spots left so I chose this location by the drivers side kick panel for now. Since this switch looks like a little computer mouse it didn't want it on the dash anywhere with the wire sticking out plus I don't like drilling holes. Thanks for a great product- well worth the cost!!!image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg
