Beautiful cars you're showing. Looks like the tech craze of the mid-late 90s is coming back.

I personally like traditional 40-60s rods. Not "rat" rods but traditional fabricater gems.

    Mmmmm....unburnt hydrocarbons.
The carb on my '69 is tuned to be just a touch rich at idle, so whenever I'm at a stoplight I can breathe deeply of the toxins.

I hope my /6 Barracuda will give me some of that sweet smelling richness, though it won't have the muscle like those above.

Depends on how you set it up. Clifford intake and headers with a Super Six carb setup and a hot cam will do some amazing things for a slant. You won't be making big block numbers, but you'll be able to lay some respectable 11's if you want.

Yep. Catching a whiff of that sweet perfume always reminds me of the exhaust scene (at 1:53) in another influential flick I grew up with. Remember this one?

I'm going to do triple Webers in the future but need to get everything all buttoned up first.

What are you going to be using for a Cam? Solid lifters or hydraulics? Headers?

Sorry, but I love seeing a hopped-up Slant Six in an old Duster, Dart, etc. They're one of my favorite things to spot at a car show.

Edit- I'm drooling hard over this one right now.

    Cool.
The 225 in my '84 work/plow truck has a Clifford 6=8 intake with a Holley 2bbl. No cam or exhaust upgrades, though. It's an improvement from the factory setup, but it's still hauling around a heavy 4x4 truck with 3.55's (plus a 7.5 foot steel plow and 500lbs of tube sand ballast during the winter) so it's not setting the world on fire. Or even making it smoke a little. But it does make it easier to live with. I can't imagine what a slug she'd be with the stock intake and a measly little 1bbl carb.

Sorry for the late response - I was up in Truckee without WiFi all weekend. That is Raley Field, where the Sacramento River Cats play. They are the AAA affiliate of the SF Giants.
