I live really close to one of the most popular parks in Charlotte and magikarps spawn in my front yard aswell. Always at least 5 lures going, a couple afternoons there did the trick hahaha

 

Is there a lake at the park? Here in raleigh we have a few lakes I think those are the best places to get magikarps and psyducks.

 

I get magikarps all the time in my neighborhood. I quit catching them. Didn't know they were gyrados babies...I'm about to catch every magikarps ever

 

There is a good sized manmade pond there, i usually go there for my cardio and run laps around the pond. Each lap normally nets me like 5 magikarps. Extra incentive to run more haha

 

You'll need to catch 101 magikarps to get the 400 candies for gyarados.... seemed impossible to me at first but it's just a slow grind haha

Newb, I'm at 90 candies.

I took over a gym today and put my snorlax on it. Met a guy who was also blue and put a slowbro on it, gym was ours for a few hours. Also found out they have a pokestop at a strip club

 

I've hatched a couple and im like what the crap when they hatch but I got 7 candies or so whatever.

 

What do ya know...another day, another failed attempt to get on

 

Since yesterday after the long downtime it's been pretty stable for me

 

It was working good last night but now it pops up "unable to access server" and pops up a sign out button

 

Mine is working ok except my km counter. Ive went like a half mile or so today under 15 mph and it says im at .37km

So it's been a 100% success rate for me changing evees name before evolving.

Sparky for jolteon
Rainer for vaporeon
Pyro for flareon

Also note that jolteon has a 2x multiplier, flareon has a 2.4, and vaporeon has a 2.5

Basically vaporeon is the most badass of 3

 

The app only tracks distance for times when you are going less than 4mph and the app is open on your screen. People are also confirming that you can trick the game into giving you more distance if your GPS is set to low accuracy.
