I'm in the works of switching my automobile insurance company to another. I currently have GEICO and was wondering if anyone have another company that they recommend by their overall experience with that company?

Well my upcoming amount due is $650 for six months coverage. I think it is pretty pricey probably due to my area and my Tacoma being 4x4. I will be looking into Progressive as members indicated in the previous posts. How much are you guys paying at Progressive? And if anyone could provide any tips on how to lower my premium cost?

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
I just switched to State Farm after being a Geico customer for 10 years. Saved me $250/6 months, and I got better coverage!

Check into all the big name insurers... Allstate, Nationwide, State Farm, Progressive, etc. Some companies are perceived to cost an arm and a leg - you might be surprised.

Definitely shop around. I'm with Progressive and I pay $450 every 6 months. I had an '09 Prerunner and when I got a '10 4x4 there was no change in my rate. Progressive is the easiest to manage your policy online IMO and their customer service has always been good to me.

You can get a multi-policy discount if you insure motorcycles/RVs/etc with Progressive. You can get a multi-vehicle discount if you insure more than one car or truck with them. Also ask about the Online Odometer discount. You report your odometer reading every 6 months online and you get a discount of at least 5%. If you don't drive much your discount goes up.

I came from State Farm. I switched because the package deal with my motorcycle and car was less with Progressive.
