Is there anywhere to go trail in Dallas or anywhere you'd actually get to use and enjoy LT? I have thought about moving up there but I enjoy the desert a bit much.

you can pretty much do it all. West for dunes and down in the hill country for trails and stuff like that. You just have to be willing to drive. I also think the LT will give me the lift im looking for. I haven't read to much on mid travel.

I'm going to have to look into the dunes west of Dallas. On my truck I didn't really gain much lift with LT and 33s, maybe 2" or 3" tops. Whenever I am parked next to a Tacoma with a spindle lift mine doesn't look lifted, just wider.I could probably lift it more adjusting the preload on the coilovers but don't want to be riding at droop.

Im only familiar with drop arm lift kits but I know its not all that popular with tacomas. Do most people going higher just do a large coilover setup?

If you're 4wd anything more than 2.5-3" of lift will require a drop bracket. Long travel and mid travel will pretty much give you the same results lift wise. Sure you could jack the coilovers up, but you'll be using all your droop travel for lift and performance will suffer

So when someone builds a crawler they SAS swap it but they get a lot of travel? I know they use a large coilover and a drop arm combo or am I wrong? Either way I think im going the LT route and will trim my fenders.

I'm not sure what kind of travel numbers the sas guys are getting, their is a sas forum on here you may want to check out. The only recommendation I can make is if you go LT set up your ride height for proper performance, not what looks good when it's sitting in a parking lot. Lots of guys are so concerned with stance they lose sight of why you go long travel to begin with

Just get a 3.5" over kit if you're going to do it. And put good spacers on the rear if you're not swapping axles. Wider stance gives you a better COG. 10k is a good number to do a lot with.

You can cut your oem. Lol. Yeah, prolly fenders too that way. Take off 1k for that. 9k will still get you good LT. Why don't you do some of the work yourself? And I personally think our trucks look like no other on the road with glass. Wouldn't want mine any other way.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Very well said.

It will look kinda odd... Like the arms are hanging out there with no real shape of the body. Glass widens out your profile and it looks more natural, more intentional.

If you do glass front IMO you should do glass rear to match.. Glass front/stock rear is like finding a girl with triple D's yet her ass is flatter than day old beer
