You can run either kit with stock fenders, but they will require trimming, just like a good mid travel setup would. I personally think stock fenders look best on our trucks. But I can't stand cut fenders unless people put the work in to make them look factory again like @clupi did, so I went with glass. Here's the TC 3.5" race kit with stock uncut fenders. Don't mind that they are beat to shit. I actually did that when I was on stock length arms

Unless you need the narrower wheel base for competition reasons I'd go +3.5 you'll gain an extra 2-3" of travel for the same price as the 2" kit and gain a better center of gravity

A lot of states have laws that your tires can't stick out beyond your fenders.. Washington is unfortunately one of those states.

They would need to be trimmed if it was long term or you'd have to space the bump stops so they wouldn't get destroyed (which would kind of defeat the LT purpose)

Most states also have blanket laws that cover modified suspensions

You're talking about a wheel sticking out 2" or 3.5" on each side. Chances are both setups would be getting a ticket.

At least in Texas you cant go around the corner without seeing a lifted truck with the wheels hanging out

This! Every time I see a Magnetic Gray Metallic Tacoma with aftermarket wheels and off road tires I question myself as to why I went long travel and fiberglass on a perfectly good looking truck, but then I remember why any time I hit the dirt in it. :bikewhoops:

+1 on stock glass looking better than fiberglass, I actually dislike the Tacoma glass over most trucks where it doesn't look as obvious that you're running fiberglass. Maybe because I looked at my fenders for a year before they were color matched and it looked extra shirt. Doesn't look bad all matched up

You guys know McNeil racing makes a 2.5" fender that has the flares also built into the glass?
