Im going to mohegun sun for the killers concert on Thursday . But I need to check out these car shows soon, it seems like they're pretty awesome.

 

Hm.... 700$ in parts (oem) for wheel bearing in the rear (both sides). And that's with an employee discount. Shit....

Deer strike @ highway speed (travelling on 395 on 6/29). I managed to pull an evasive maneuver but the damn thing managed to bash up my right side--busted bumper, bent supports, fucked fender and even the passenger mirror glass is broken. Probably gonna just do the fender and plate up the front. The f'ing projectors were only a couple months old too!

 

Deer vs Truck rarely works out well for anybody, really. Bummer.

I hate those things. Did you at least keep it? Freezer full of venison is a small consolation but it's a tasty one.

 

I figure my evasive move saved me from have air bag deployment which is usually a total in insurance land

 

I wish--it was 0510 and I was trying to get to work then onto Winslow Maine afterwards--too much on my plate to worry about processing that thing

 

I remember a few of these when they were new...

 

That's one of those where you're like "thank god my airbag didn't go off; that would have totaled my truck" and then you start looking at what it'll cost to fix the damage and you're like "damn you, reflexes!"

 

Bummer. I didn't keep this guy either, but should have. Hadn't even made my first payment on the van when I hit him on I-93 up in NH.

 

I actually felt kinda like Mario Andretti for a few seconds after because the impact sent me fish tailing towards the median and I held it until it was fully recovered and in the breakdown lane, then I looked at everything I needed to fix......

Same here. Maybe 5 years ago I went to get ahaircut and the price went up to like $18. Finally I was like man all you do is throw the #1 guard on and buzz my head, so I went and got a wahl hair trimmer for $30 at CVS and been doing it myself ever since. Ain't nobody got time fo haircuts

 

You can bet your butt I kept the deer that ruined the front end on my '96 Nissan Hardbody when I hit it. Called the police to have them come out and tag it, and when they didn't show up I loaded him into the truck and drove to the station myself. Gutted him out under the porch light at 11:30 at night, haha!

 

I've seen an amazing amount of roadkill deer this year in my travels. Virtually no winter loss. I've hit three in my life including one on a motorcycle that put me in a hospital bed for 3 days. Goddamn forest rats.

 

Easy winter means there's more of the hoof rats running around. Hopefully there's still some left come hunting season this year.

 

Bah! Only time I used a guard in 8 yrs was when I gave my father in law a haircut. I just use the metal edge on my skull
