Got this one on the group buy for $175 shipped, I could have got the GB 40 for $87.50 but wanted the bigger one! I like being prepared for about any situation!

I'm leaning towards a battery charger with the 50amp jump start feature on it that way if my battery is dead someday at least I can get it started. Then I'll drive straight to the store and buy a new Interstate battery.

With a good jump box like mine, or probably the one he has, you can jump a completely dead battery. You can literally jump your car and run it for 30-45 minutes, no battery connected, with the one I have.

But this thing has multiple purposes, jump starting your vehicle, charging your phone when camping, blowing up a air mattress out in the middle of nowhere for a tent.........

The jump starting my truck would be alright. I don't own a cell phone, or go camping so I would not need to blow up a air mattress. I get what you are saying though Corey.

Well took the truck in today for 5k service and a few other little quirks I was having. My steering wheel is slightly off center to the right, been this way from day one. Tracks nice and straight so not out of alignment. Have the infamous driver side window rattle. Have brake pad spring hanging out. Wanted the Zerks checked and trans fluid checked. Called a dealer told me all was done, and I could come pick it up, so I started going over my list with him. He blamed my window rattle on the vent visors ( rattled worse before I installed them. Said the brake pad spring was normal.....(really) Said after they rotated tires truck was tracking straight....( it was never not straight Wheel wasn't straight) Said all the zerks were lubed when I asked him about trans fluid got dead air for a min then he asked if I bought my truck from them.... I said why would it matter. He had enough nerve to tell me that if I had all these problem why didn't I take it back to where I bought it...... What an ass..... Thought the service dept. got paid for warranty work no matter where it was bought.... Looks like I might be filing a complaint with Toyota Corp.
    What a jack off.

Well first I will see how things go at the dealer tomorrow. They are replacing my broken tpms sensors, the bad right front squeaking support bushing and hopefully, as I requested, doing the tranny flash. I sent them an email yesterday telling them to do those 3, then attempt to do what they could with the window grease smear and the trip meter. As long as the first 3 are done correctly I will be somewhat satisfied. I just told them if they cannot fix the last 2 items that I will kick it back to Corporate for resolution hopefully. As far as the lemon laws they are different in every state. Since I live in VA and bought it in MD I will have to investigate it. This will be my 2nd official documented visit for all 5 repairs. I told the dealer if they, or Corporate, cannot resolve the window grease that I will take a day and make a video of me removing the panel to investigate it myself. The resulting video will then be sent to Corporate. Regarding the trip meter random resets I will be finding and collecting any evidence of the problem found and corrected by other Toyota dealers. Apparently the 1 case from 1 dealer was not enough to sway Toyota or the dealer. I have plenty of warranty remaining giving time for this to become another tsb provided more cases arise. Have not driven mine since in over 10 days now simply because of the squeaky bushing. I wonder if Toyota will refund 1/3 of this months payment LOL. It does appear, from others results, that the tranny flash will fix my particular shift issues.

It would take a lottery win or maybe just finding a bag of money that fell out of a armored car.

I originially order the OME stock kit with 887 coils but LowRange was lagging and offered to switch to the heavy kit w/886s. I was a little hesitant at first, thinking the ride would be too harsh but in retro spec I'm glad I made the switch. The ride is firm but it's not as bad as all the posts I had read made it seem. Also depending on what type of roads you drive on. I live in the city and drive on most paved roads but if your driving on dirt roads and don't have any extra weight up front it may be a little too bumpy. I also like the fact that still have the option to add a new bumper and skids down the road.

I got the same answer to my window rattle. FYI I checked and my Sport rwd did not have zerks in the universals. I bought mine 300 miles away. Does not matter where you bought it. Any USA Toyota dealer is authorized to make warranty repairs. You are just getting the dealers bs. Call Corporate. Open a case. They will kick it right back to the same dealer. The dealer refused some of my requests until I called Corporate. Still no guarantee they will fix everything but you will have 2 records of non-repair for future case evidence. The dealer is probably mad that you got a deal somewhere else instead of paying them full msrp. My 2nd visit is tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I'm looking to get a c4fab front and rear bumper set, but not quite yet, and I can get a decent deal on the OME kit. Are you noticing any issues with the OME Heavy kit without additional weight? Any weird alignment or stance issues because of the lack of weight on the springs?

No issues with alignment. I do have SPC UCAs. IT took the alignment shop forever and a day to get it all tuned in but it's perfect. I would Prbly order the Sway bar relocation kit or just remove the sway bar. But unless your driving on washboard roads I wouldn't worry about the ride being too firm.

Cool. I just wasn't sure if it would ride or look strange if I got the heavy kit installed without having the weight of the bumper/bed stuff to pull it back down. Do you think the UCAs would be necessary? Honestly, I'm interested in the lift, but more in the carrying of extra weight for a bumper and winch. 2" + maybe some more on the wheel is all i'm looking to do. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

Just got off the phone with my dealership asking about the AT TSB. Apparently my truck [specifically my VIN] isn't affected by it due to when/where it was made. Should I go in and try to get them to check it anyway? I haven't noticed any slipping or delay in shifting, and it's a pretty new truck -- I got it last week and it was only on the lot for a few days before then.

It all depends on the listed vin segments on the tsb. If it is on the list there should be no issue getting it done. If its not on the list then, if needed, another tsb will come out with your vin segment. It depends on build date and manufacturing plant.
