black "Shank" style lugs

I m new here so please excuse this thread if it has already been addresed. I m looking to purchase the black baja alloy wheels but can't seem to find black lugs. I talked to every tire dealer in the Bay Area and they said talk to factory. Parts stated no black factory lugs. Correct me if I m wrong, the OEM wheels have to have the shank style lugs right? who has upgraded their originals to the alloys and what have they done to get the "Shank" style lugs in BLACK ?

 

Over the years, Toyota alloys have used both tapered seat and shank style. Go to one of the online dealers selling these wheels and down at the bottom is listed the toyota part number for the lugs. There are plenty of sources for black tapered seat lugs, as Toyota used them in the 80's thru the late 90's, but for shank style I would look at McGard and Gorilla to see if the offer black shank style.

Those are tapered seat "bulge nuts" with usually a reduced head size; should take a 19MM vs a 21MM socket, and is standard 60º taper.

EDIT: (to anybody/everybody) Anytime you change wheels/lugnuts, make sure you have proper tools for the new setup, 3:30 AM in the rain on the side of an interstate is not the time to find out you can't remove tire/wheel assy.

Get some standard size nuts, without the bulge; after that mabey you can have a large tool too

They do make them in the large hex, but are usually hard to find; most 1/2" and 12mm will drop down to the 3/4" - 19mm hex size, I guess to make it fit more applications.

I have those lugs on my rims the fit really nice definately need a thin wall socket for those.
