theres about 3/4 of inch clearance there, i have to move the backup camera up though because it touches and adjusts it up

Question for you guys:

I am planning on using the BAMF rear relocation kit along with King 2.5 smoothies. Do you guys think the piggyback reservoir would potentially crash into the upper crossmember under the limits of the articulation? I'm shooting for staying as close to || as possible, as opposed to /\, looking from the rear of the truck. Thanks in advance!

 

Easy to do. I did it a few years back with stock leaf location and under the bed. SAW 2.5 RR works great. The only thing is I should have used 2.5" wide misalignment spacers instead of the 2" as the eyelets hit the mounts.

@jubei777 Break down the leaf pack and cycle it many times to figure out where they need to be to clear everything.

 

I really want to figure out how to get 12" shocks under the bed effectively, but really don't want to drop my lower hangers that much.

I'd smash them on every trail around and probably end up stuck on them occasionally. Not going any lower than the bottom of the axle.

 

Theyl fit if mounted as far and as high back as you can get them.

I also want to keep them as vertical as possible this go around. What's the extended and collapsed length on those anyways? Look to be way shorter than usual. I know you can get King's down to like 31" extended in 12" if you get the welded rod ends and the over the cylinder top cap. A typical 12" shock is like 33" extended.

 

Spent about an hour building a little wood rack for my propane/CO2/tool area for my rig. This new setup uses a short ratchet strap to keep everything locked down and can quickly and easily be removed if necessary (i.e. to refill either tank). Much cleaner than my previous mess of ratchet straps that barely held everything down. Tucked behind the CO2 tank is the 25' hose and an ARB deflator kit for ease of airing down/up.

 

They are mounted at same point as the stock mounts. If you look i had to cut it off because i couldn't get the lower shock bolt out after tacking everything up. These are about 15.5" collapsed. I don't worry about the extended lengths just that i dont bottom the shock before the bumps.

you can easily fit an 18" collapsed length shock before the upper mounts would have to go through the bed. There are 12" shocks that could fit like the 7100 short bodies with a 16" collapsed length.

 

But the stock mount is still lower than the axle...

I use to smash my stock u-bolt plates all the time too.

with the mounts as they are they should just slide over obstacles pretty easy unlike the stock stuff. If you need a 12" travel shock i think thats the best option without going through the bed or putting them / \. could put them outside the frame with the wheels spaced out enough.

 

They don't drag as much as you think. Especially with 315's, wink wink

 

i did it this way, and they dont hang lower then the axle housing. you will need to mess with valving to help with them being layed in.

 

Just get a tundra axle and donit outside then fame.

And long travel up front to match while you're at it.

And 35s..

And a cage..

Regear again..

Nothing overly exciting but I changed the oil and filter! Going on a 3000 mile trip at the end of the week so wanted to get some fresh stuff in there. Ran 7500 miles my last oil change on Amsoil XL, this time I used Pennzoil Platinum and intend to run it the same distance. Both oils will be getting analyzed to see which is better for my engine. I'm secretly hoping Pennzoil is simply because I can buy it anywhere versus having to order Amsoil online, pay shipping, wait a week to get it.

I did notice my engine running smoother and quieter on the new Pennzoil or maybe it's just in my head.
