Came together. At Pismo there's a shop right before the entrance and they're like ~$15 ( at least they were a few years ago). The one pictured I bought at Glamis for $10.
There's no bolt at the bottom, so its just the pole, and it'll slip into the gap between the back of the bed and the tailgate. once the tailgate is closed there is enough friction to hold it in place.

1/2" hole allows for any flag to fit, and most antennas from what I've seen. If you want something similar, I'll bring some up free of charge

@eon_blue IDK if it will work on a 1st gen the same as on mine. When I'm off work I'll take a picture of where I put it. But yes, just wedged it in there and shut the tailgate.

I don't have a bedrail actually lol. Just a bare, stock bed. Figured there should be some kind of mounting hardware for the factory hooks that are in the bed (I have an '04 first gen)

Lame. Well you could always drill the bed and make it permanent! :bananadance:

Yeah, I don't even have a bed cover (I did but it was a cheap one and was starting to rub the paint off my bed so I trashed it), so there wouldn't even really be a place for me to wedge it. Thinking I'll have to find a way to mount it to the hooks that are there in the bed.

All you 1st gen guys could always just make a badass flag mount & fly a big flag like me

@SlipperyTaco sorry I don't know anything about that brand let alone underwater cameras. My friend has a gopro with a waterproof casing that he says works well, back in photo class we got a full blow underwater case for one of our cameras which worked amazingly.
@eccracer104 so foresay if I could get my friend's bike working, would Pismo be a good place to learn to ride it better? I don't really see myself hauling ass over any whoops or anything of that sort

Yes please! That looks really easy. When are you planning on arriving? Friday or Saturday?

Friday. Leaving around 4 or 5 pm and hoping to get there before 9 if traffic isn't too bad.

    Cool.

I'll let you know if I get something figured out sooner. I plan to get out there earlier so I'd have to have one flying when I arrive right?

I bought this one. Buy a small piece of metal angle from Home Depot and just screw it on somewhere. I got the tools to rig anything up just let me know.

@eon_blue you have a tow ball, or at least the hole in your bumper from it right?

So I got these lights from the link you and @SlipperyTaco shared. They look like license plate lights. Are they the right ones?

For the raptor lights? Yes they are license plate lights. Others we tried were too dim. We should have a mod day when I get my headlights...

Pismo is nice because if you fall it's soft sand. However, you have ZERO stability at slow speeds. Gotta pick the pace up to actually be stable on the sand which makes learning on it much more difficult.

No worries, I have at least 1 billion sitting in the garage.

And as far as flags on your truck, you only need them if you're in the dunes. Assuming no one is going out Friday night so you wouldn't even need it till Saturday morning. And you don't need one on the beach itself, only if you're anot OHV, the second you get off the beach and into the dunes you need one no matter what
