That's what I've been doing the last 3 years as well, way more excitement, energy, and knowledge of what's happening on track on MRN.

 

That track never fails to deal out some serious attrition and they have to go back in Sept. for the 2nd race of the Chase.
Wish the 78 could catch a much deserved break! As much as I hate to say it, he needs to reverse his strategy and start sandbagging the first 1/2 of the races??
Glad to see the 17 can "Stand Proud" back at the 10's motor coach. He's really made a turnaround this year!

 

The Roush cars have shown some improved speed here in the midpoint of the season. The drivers are doing their part on track. Unfortunately, the crews and chiefs are losing positions on pit road and that's killing their decent runs.

 

Couldn't agree more. I hate to hear the talk of the "Cat in the hat" stepping down. He took Shelby's legacy and ran with it with style! As a GM and Dodge muscle car guy that's a hard one to admit. It'll be interesting to see what Stewart-Haas do with the Fords next year.

 

I just saw that Kenseth failed post-race inspection. Most likely a 15 point penalty plus probation and $ fine. Though it doesn't mean much these days, it knocks him from 8th to 9th in points, one point ahead of Denny Hamlin.

 

I saw where the 14 car passed the inspection but Nascar is going to inspect it further too.

 

Yea imagine if that was Keselowksi, there would be so many cheater words thrown around.

I deleted my FB and my life is now 99% drama free. I got tired of seeing what everyone felt like being angry about each day. I can't take the internet that seriously. It's why I'm here with y'all knuckleheads.

My Dad maintained a local Docs car collection back in the '80's who was hunting buds with Bobby Allison. Bobby would come up and stay weekends with him. Dad would take me to hang out with them. Bobby said on the first 2-3 laps the apron was like ice from all the lead shot rolling out of the cars.
I think after Knaus and Johnson retire the true stories will be told. They banned nitrous in the '60's when Smokey Yunick used it. Foyt and Waltrip were busted in the '76 Daytona race for using it.

Now with all the big $ and engineers today it's not who's cheating. It's whose not getting caught.

 

It's the same with the Big 10 hating the SEC. They just get caught more.

With the new aero package, I would guess power. Didn't Toyota get busted a few yrs. back for lifters or rockers being to light??

 

Bobby was also involved in the original Bumpergate*. Back when the cars still ran stock body panels and bumpers, Bobby had a rear bumper "fall off" early on at Daytona reducing weight and allowing the airflow under the car to be more efficient at the rear for the car.

i thought they molested the motors with inspections or no?
