So I should ask for an actual price break down? I know I don't want those tubes. Wanting a sr5 4x4 with towing and sr5 package only makes it a unicorn. everyone has all kinds of extra options on it.

If i order something it would have to be a 2017 and was quoted 3-4 months for it. Seeing as i was in a wreck and my car was totaled I don't think I can wait 4 months.

yes, you need a price break down and you need to know what all of those options are. The Protection is bs unless it's a clear front bra, which is worth, maybe, 100 dollars installed but they probably charged you 800 for it, if it's a bra

tell them to take off the tube steps and sell them in their parts area...

They are giving you these prices at msrp:
    50 state emission 000
sr5 appearance WITHOUT parking sonar or EntuneP 850
    exhaust tip 90
4 piece carpets 209, usually can get for 100, biggest port ripoff there is
tube steps and protection package 1600

Protection package is just fluff for the dealer. MSRP is 299 so let's say about 200 for invoice.
    • Fabric Guard
    • Lusterizing Sealant
    • Sealant Cleaner
    • Rental Car Assistance Benefit at no additional charge
    28,622
    757
    60
    149
    365
    200
    960 delivery

    Approx. 31,113
31,692 if you include the tow package you mentioned (but wasn't on the sheet you posted)

The 31,433 isn't 1,000 off invoice, but all things considered it's right near invoice which is a decent price. (maybe he meant 100 off msrp?)

That said, like Z50 said, there's junk in there still that you probably don't want to be paying for regardless. Running boards, VPP, exhaust tip, etc.

that sheet he posted says the 960 delivery fee is already built into the base MSRP, so that's not added in. Tow package wasn't listed so it probably doesn't have tow package. I would never buy a Tacoma without the tow package. it's better in every way

To get the best deal...save up cash. Tell dealer you're going to finance it through Toyota. Then pay it off in the first payment. I'm not aware of a pre-payment penalty. But if there is one, pay off all but 100 bucks. Wait for the "pre-payment" term to expire, then pay it off.

The key to getting a great deal is to not need their money, but make them think you're gonna use it.

Guys, looks like I can get a limited for 38,100. or a TRD off road for 38,500 with Tonaeu and premium with JBL.

I am sure I can use this Limited price to get the off road price lower.

    Might not wait for 2017s..

I am not seeing a listing ont he sheet for the protection package, in my case the p2. Have a salesman trying to get me to buy a trd off road rather then just a 4x4 sr5

Got a 2016 TRD OR DBSB today with Premium Tech & JBL, W/Tonaeu, all weather matts, clear bra.. 37,100.00. Magnetic grey. Appears to be 2600.00 below MSRP for this set up.

But I leased it vs buying. They might have got some of their money back on the lease but I did what I could. 340.00 monthly payment, 36 months, and I put 3K down.

Residual value after 36month is 28K.

I've been on the New Taco hunt as well, and notice the same stuff... Right now I am looking at the Inferno Access Cab, All I want is a V6 and Cruise control... No way to find JUST that. All kinds of additional crap or a 4 cylinder comes into play. I've looked at Richardson, Plano, Toyota Dallas, and Sports City (Which is where I bought my first New Toyota Pickup back in 1985)... I've had a hard time finding anything close to what I am hunting for. They have 4 dr, they have AC with 4cyl... they have some pretty lofty 4x4's and none with what I want... Don't like the running board/steps they offer. Don't care about touch screen radios (although you can't buy without that feature), so if I have to have a touch screen, I want steering wheel controls. not really fond of the new "Boot" around the shifter... but I'll work with it... May wait for the 17's to show up before I trade up. I currently have a 2014 in really good shape, with less than 25k miles... It's a base model access cab, long bed. Love it. Just want to go new. They offered to order what I want at Richardson Toyota... Might try them for what you want.

I would find one with as much crap on it as you can get for a great price, if you ever sell, buyers want more accessories vs less.

I will check with them, I have been told by a few people I could order, but it would take 3-4 months and would be a 17

That's not a Toyota product. It's probably junk like a coating they never sprayed on the truck or a bra that cost them 50 bucks to install

Hey guys, valuable info in this thread, thanks!

I'm on the look out for a Blue TRD Sport 4x4 auto DCSB with the Premium/Tech package..... This has become quite a search. I have looked at what I feel like is every dealer in the south (Texas/louisiana/colorado/arizona/NewMexico) If anyone has a line on one, i'd be happy to pay a finders fee :)

Just did a quick search for you around WV this is what I found Moses Toyota . If you do a search for just the Blazing Blue Pearl they have two according to the website. You can either follow the link or just use the Toyota website and use 25177 as the zipcode.
