so I have a 2015 white Tacoma and I have seen on here where people are painting their lower valance black with dip or even vinyl. I am not seeing a lot of people mentioning about color matching. I would like mine white and was wondering if this is something that needs to be prepped and painted by a bodyshop or if people can color match with a can? I have never used dip and was wondering longevity of it because it will be getting cleaned a lot because of bugs and such. people that have done this have to keep reapplying periodically? also with it being white and wanting to match it, how good does the dip white look and do I need to do anything with the texture (lower valance rough) and about matching the shine finish of the factory paint? is there different finishes on dip cans?
    thanks in advance

That's a pretty neat idea. I don't think I've actually seen someone do that. From what I hear, the white plastidip is pretty close in color match. I recommend dipping it, and if you like it, then look more into painting it.

I agree with the above statement. Like you mentioned OP, you probably will be cleaning the area quite a lot so Plasti-Dip won't hold up, but it's a good cheap way to see if you like it!

I was able to cut mine no problem with it still on. I used tin snips to get the brunt out, and a razor to clean up the little pieces left over.
