Your post doesn't make sense. Nobody had said their truck has v8 power. They have said it feels like it has more power after the flash. If it makes the truck shift smoother, and eliminated the delay when you step on the gas, then the truck is going to feel like it has more power.

"Night and day difference" makes me sceptical. So yes, my comment makes sense.

I have never seen anyone say night and day difference in power. Night and day difference pre to post update. If you have a 2016, you would know that driving with cruise control and being able to smash on the gas with no delay is a night and day difference. The mods need to come through and delete all of these useless arguing comments, mine included. Just makes it harder for people to find what they actually clicked the thread for. Last word: if you have a 2016 and want to deny people's testimony that actually have it, don't get the flash. That simple. Getting mine done Friday and I'll let the rest of you know then how it shifts. Sorry for adding more nonsense.

    Do have a 16.
    Not denying anyone's testimony.
Just said I'm sceptical to avoid getting my hopes up. Not even bashing what anyone has said.

Well your post didn't make sense. This is for reviews of the update. No one said a V8, they said it shifts like it should.

The T-SB 0077 16 made my truck shift property and it has 0 delay when going from reverse to drive also all but Eliminated the cruse control gear hunting this is how they should have worked to start with i drive alot with my job maybe 150 miles a day so this updated software has made me love this truck even more

Haven't gotten my truck updated yet, but I imagine it's more of a dawn and dusk difference than night and day difference... either way cant wait.

Got the TSB does while in for my 10k service. Can't really give a thorough impression yet since I haven't driven very far, only a few miles on the freeway and then a few more around town. It does feel much smoother shifting between 1st and 2nd. Will update later once I drive the truck some more.

I've noticed after having the TSB done that when I put it into Park while driving at 70mph I can no longer smell something burning.

Have a 4cyl and never liked the way the transmission shifted. Always had to push the pedal way in to get it to move or downshift and felt as if none of the gears were even. 2nd to 3rd had a nasty harsh engagement. Had it reflashed yesterday. Obviously different than the v6s but I'm completely satisfied with the transmission now. Cruise control still needs a little work but I can honestly say it feels more responsive, gears are even, no harsh shifting and it feels like on almost 1/2 ect button. It drives like a normal automatic transmission now. Happy 3rd Gen driver

I have similar feelings as far as tempering my expectations. Hopefully it makes the truck a little more livable.

I'm going on Saturday morning, they'll do the TSB as well as their "safety inspection" whatever that means. I'm taking a 4.5 hour trip Sunday morning. I'll post up my findings.

Just returned from getting mine done.
    • R to D delay almost gone
    • Surging gone
    • Had a cyclical hum/buzz at 45-50 on cruise and it's gone
    • Wasn't able to check the cruise as no hills on way home
Shift points seem a little different, but not that much, seems to hold the gear longer before the upshift at the lower speeds. Time will tell!

    Note: No sticker added
