    That price doesn't seem out of line to me. I paid $2600 for a brand new fully loaded fiberglass shell made locally in California.

    As for the bed sides, for what it's worth, 1,100 lbs doesn't seem like that much to me. 1,100 divided by 12 linear feet of bedside is only about 90 lb per linear foot. It gets way more than that when you stand on the bedside. Plus the bulk of that weight will be when parked, not bouncing around on a rocky trail.

    We get tons of local and imported Thailand fiberglass canopies here...and I have used them in the passed for many years too. . When you do hard work, overlanding and 4x4, fiberglass cant take the pain and strain.

    Same reason why people fit these

    BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Hi/lo cap with the roof split down the middle so it could flip open to an overall width of 102" would be sweet
