    My goal is to put together a solid rig for camping and travelling. I travel to NM once or twice a year. 315s aren't in my future, but hopefully plenty of dusty trails in the SW and Baja are...

    I think they did 15% off a single and 20% off if you got both racks at the same time.

    So for those who have installed theirs. Any qwirks or anything of that nature we should know before conducting our own?

    Pass on the lessons learned from previous installs.

    I may just wait till next year, in hopes of the same deal. That's a good chunk to be saved.

    Been thinking of having bumpers painted white to match truck, so snorkel should match too...

    @SFSMedic
    It's not that difficult to do.
    Just make sure that the template is lined up on the fender properly. Then double check that it's lined up properly.
    As the old adage goes: Measure twice cut once.

    The only thing I did different from the instructions was only putting 2 of the hose clamps on instead of all 4 to begin with. The two clamps that connect the provided tubing to the 90s.

    The other two I put on after I had everything mocked in place. This enabled me to put the 90 through the original inlet hole (have fun with that) then clamp that 90 onto the factory intake tubing under the hood with the hose clamp; as well as put the main snorkle body on the other 90 without dropping the hose clamp.

    Hopefully this makes sense.

    @SFSMedic
    The instructions state to put the hose clamp on in step 3.25
    In step 3.28 your connecting the 90 to the original factory tubing.

    The picture isn't very clear in step 3.28 and makes you question if you shove the 90 through the original inlet hole or not. I opted to ram it through the hole, with finesse of course. That way there's a better seal.20160716_165934.jpg

    I also used a silicone based sealant inside the connections and the rope caulk on the outside. I tend to go over kill on projects to make sure that they're over built.

    To me it's more logical to put this clamp on afterwards if you cram the 90 through the original inlet hole like I did.

    Per the instructions that clamp would be in the fender well and not under the hood.

    I view instructions as more or less a guideline and change up things that make more sense to me.
