I figured that. I don't recall seeing many two piece jobbers. Would y'all remove the spacer lift or the body lift. Ones got to go, dropping to 32 or 33

I and most on here will recommend to lose them both. Not to many positives with those types of lifts. What is your end goal for your truck...wheeling machine?, daily driver?, mall crawler? Given the answer to that will help you determine what lift to go with. And that is probably a stacked spacer lift=sketchy!

If it's a stacked spacer lift, absolutely I'm taking it off. That's why I'm asking.
End goal, daily driver. This winter or fall ill do a solid axle and it will still be a daily driver.

Sonincan eliminate the spacer, keep the body lift. Eliminate the body lift keep the spacer.

I paid 750 for the truck. Runs awesome just doesn't have enough balls for 35x14.50-15

its a daystar lift. thats how it comes. one is a coil spacer and one is a strut spacer to get the 2.5-3" lift without over extending everything to bad. it should have come with longer bumps to match aswell. I trust that more than the sketchy 3" body lift so id get rid of it first. can upgrade the suspension lift later if needed. either way $750 is a good deal for a running tacoma.

More then running. Guy thought he broke the head. Gave it a tune up and it started missing. Wanted to change valve cover gasket and thought he screwed up head on cyl 3 by breaking plug. He just broke the plug wire. It sat for a year and after a year of bugging him I got it for 750. Pressure washed the gunk, de greased motor, replaced all plugs and belts and a new battery. She runs like a top. Passenger fender was in primer. I noticed he also crossed 2 plug wires which is what made it miss terribly. I rattle canned the passenger fender and painted the rusty rear bumper. Dumped the 35x14.50s. Ordered black steelies and 33s should be here next week. Here are the pictures upon delivery from tow truck and as I progressed. I'm looking for rubber and leather / vinyl shift boots and she's as good as new

Why can't I find a good 1st gen for a price like that around here??? Lucky find OP, nice looking truck!

Just don't forget to check the frame for rust, remember the issues with those 1st gens on that.

Damn! That's a steal...I mean literally, I almost feel bad for the guy you bought it off of. Does he see you driving around in it now? That'd be like a kick in the gut haha. Oh well, he agreed to it. Nice find!!

If you think it can handle it, you could always put a supercharger in it considering how much you saved on the purchase price lol.

Be sure to start a build thread when you begin the SAS project on it!
