Some food for thought. I've fished a bunch on the 21' Cape and 4k sounds light. I would have it weighed. DO NOT buy a Cape Horn pre-2000 model year they are extremely wet boats. That 2003 on c-list may be the better way to go. I tow a 24' bay boat with my 2012 Taco around town, it weighs 4-5k. If I towed longer I would want air bags for sure. With 4wd you should have no problem pulling a boat out of the water at any ramp in the Pensacola area.

Anyone have any input on the Laguna? Thanks rusbob for your input on the Cape Horn. Yeah I heard it was a wet boat but didn't know how bad it was

My other concern is the price on the Laguna. I could get it for 35k but not sure that's a fair price??? Also the 21' Cape Horn 2003 seems a little high at 33k?

Not sure anyone has really talked about it. Tacomas seem to come with tires good for towing. But the ply of your tire is really important when looking to haul. If you have cheap aftermarket tires, they may not be safe to tow with. Especially when you're questioning if your exceeding the truck's capacity. The best (as far as I know) are 10E. These were stock on my 2006 TRD Sport. You can check the side of your tire and look up the different ratings.
