    I'd never get rid of my CB. But I may add this to the truck.

    Have you ever had your CB peaked and tuned by a professional?

    Edit: I'd be curious as to what the real world range is on these things. Do you want to give it a shot? I'll grab one if you do.

    Would be a solid alternative for sure, I never can get a clear signal on my CB either...but I've also never had it tuned properly so there's that.

    No I drive my Camry all day so the truck stays parked and owner is remodeling entire house and the contractor doesn't have a truck. Yes you read that right. So he decided he needed lumber and tile right away so I had to get the truck and see 4 houses scattered about. So I may just go home when I'm done. Or order that radio off Amazon when I stop for fuel
