    Looks good. I might have to go that route. I have the Eibach coils up front so I'm guessing it'll give me a little more of a lift at .85 over the stock coils? I really don't want to be ass high you know? Did you remove the overload leaf?

    Yea with the eibach springs I would say you would gain more height over stock springs. Yes we removed the overload because my dad didn't want the truck to be too tall

    The wheelers 3 AAL is about $60 cheaper than the icon one. I'll probably end up with that

    Does it handle loads well with the AAL? Surprisingly, my factory 4 pack is pretty good when it comes to hauling things and It would suck to lose that functionality when adding an AAL

    Haven't put a ton of weight in the back but it should support more weight than your current 4 leaf pack

    Did you need use extended U bolts because you left the overload in?

    I would assume so, the overload is like a quarter inch thick or so

    At one point I had eibach springs and Billy's @ .85 and a aal (forget which one) . I hated the front end . It was so stiff and rode like shit. That setup only last 1 month then I sold it and bought icon coil overs and a dakar leaf pack . Here a pic of the eibach setup .

    I didn't mess with an AAL because I had a 3-year-old 3-leaf pack at the time. So I did General HD leafs and OME 884s with 5100s all around.

    I wish I had a bit more rake. It's too close to level, so when I put a 500 lb lawn tractor in the bed with the back wheels on the tailgate and it was enough to make it very slightly nose-high. I've thought about going with Dakars minus a leaf or Wheeler's 5-packs. I think those would get me another 1/2-3/4 of an inch in the back.

    Do it!!! The Icon progressive AAL is awesome! I had the Icon AAL, TSB leaf pack and I kept the overload in place for the rear and used 5100's set at 0 with Eibachs up front. The ride was great, couldn't have been happier. I also had a cap and carried a couple hundred lbs of tools in the bed 24/7 and still had a factory rake.
    If you set the 5100's at .85, you'll end up around 2.5" of lift and, as John said, it will ride pretty rough. The Eibach coils are stiff, I can't imagine preloading them.
    With the overload in, it handles loads very well. I carried 1,000# in the bed along with the cap and tools and it did just fine and never hit the bump stops.

    Morning all. Another nice day out there, and here I am in my windowless bunker, lol. :pout:

    I like the tech in the EB motors, and the general improvement in build quality Ford's had lately. I like the idea of the rust-free aluminum body, too, but I'm not crazy about the styling on the new trucks. The front end just doesn't appeal to me.
    I'm actually starting to like the look of the 3rd Gen Tacoma, but I'm not sure about the new motor/transmission combo yet, and there seems to be a lot of chatter on the web about mystery vibrations.

    I haven't test-driven anything yet, though, so it's just speculation so far anyway.

    I'd say leave the 5100s at the bottom notch with eibachs too. It'll probably ride pretty harsh, especially with no extra weight up front. Leave the front as is and get the icon aal. You'll probably need extended.brake lines in the rear(2nd genners correct me if in wrong) That should get you a decent setup that doesnt go nose.high any time you put 200# in the bed

    Yea could use new brake lines to be on the safe side. I still have my eibach 650lb springs up front with the wrong amount of preload that the previous owner had put in. Really need to make myself (or buy) some misalignment spacers for my coilovers
