You drove it around with little to no oil in the automatic transmission. IF your lucky you only burned up the clutch packs but this fluid also lubricates the 1,000+ moving parts inside the transmission from bearings to valves. Your "mechanic" is a hack and unless he took the transmission apart and looked at everything there is no way he could diagnose it as being fine.

I hate to bear bad news but dude you fried that transmission!

As for the damage done to the engine by running it over filled, could be minor like every vacuum line on the truck has oil in it or could be cracked crankshaft from slapping the oil. At what point did you finally pull the dipstick and realize it was over filled? Any half ass mechanic would check the oil level long before cranking the engine. I've seen it happen, someone dumps the oil, leaves the pan under the motor, fills with the specified amount, fires it up to check for leaks (there are none, there's no oil in the motor because someone forgot to put the plug back in and the 5 quarts pouring in is now mixed with the 4 1/2 quarts drained out in the pan) then buys a brand new motor because they have cooked EVERY bearing in the engine! No different than over-filling, you have likely done damage and need a wrecker to A Toyota Dealer not driving it around for 3-4 days till you can get it into some guy who used to work for Toyota. I worked for Boeing at one time but I'm not qualified to service them. I'm not saying your "mechanic" is a bad guy but you didn't come back complaining about the cost of having the transmission pulled and disassembled to check for damage tells me he's a hack and there may be good reason why he no longer works for Toyota. I'm no Toyota mechanic, or any mechanic for that matter, I push throttle levers forward, pull back on the funny looking wheel thingy then tell the inconsiderate assholes in the back they can turn their phones back on when the short fat needle on the little spinny dial thing goes by the zero at the top but even in my limited capacity with my very limited mechanical knowledge I know the transmission has to be opened up to give a "your fine" diagnoses.

Your transmission is slipping because the clutches are fried. It's slipping in turns because that's putting the most torque load on the transmission and finally building enough heat/pressure to grab. Every inch you move the truck in gear is doing more damage, putting more clutch debris into the micro sized passages and increasing the chances you'll be buying a new transmission to fix the problem.

We all make mistakes, it's what we do after the mistake that is the indicator of how willing we are to learn from those mistakes. Your first mistake was not pulling the dipstick followed by a string of mistakes from driving it around to taking it to a hack mechanic to changing the fluid in the rear diff (btw they are gear to gear, no clutches or ANYTHING else in there that can slip, they work or they don't).

some of this, a little of that
just as there is no way you can diagnose it as destroyed by reading his post in a forum, he said he's taking it in to a dealer, lets just sit back until then.

Well like I stated, I'm no mechanic but I have had enough automatic transmissions in my life to know that driving one around with little to no fluid will certainly do damage that cannot be diagnosed by checking the fluid level and topping it off. He said he drove it around till the next day before realizing it had no fluid and it's now exhibiting signs of slipping/grabbing. Again those are the words of his own describing how he got to where he is today. So an automatic transmission that has run for some time/distance with little/no fluid and now a slipping/grabbing symptom tells me it's got serious damage but alas I will wait for Toyota to tell him whats happened.

Its slipping on turns because, most likely, the transmission oil is low, still.

The transmission takes 12 or 14 qts of fluid. There is a procedure to do a fill correctly, not just keep filling and filling. The pan on the transmission only holds 3 qts of fluid, the rest is throughout the rest of the transmission. AGAIN, there is a procedure for filling the automatic transmission on these trucks.

I feel like it might be my rear differential spindle that might broke because the truck runs good on Highway speed and city just only when I turn sometimes it slips.
