Does anyone have a quick link to the thread with the guy selling the pre made front axles and spindle with the bearing already pressed into the spindle? My drivers side inner output shaft needle bearings are getting pretty sloppy, and I thought I'd just do the bushing mod and axles all at once.

    My MOD song.....

This is the mod that never ends
It just goes on and on my friends
One day I started modding it
    Not knowing what it was
And I'll continue modding it forever just because.........

This is the mod that never ends......

The ancients among us will remember the tune from Sherry and Lambchop the song that never ends.......

Why... just why. I have to be at work for another 5 1/2 hours tonight staring blankly at the side of a plane making sure it doesn't explode and you know exactly what is going to be stuck in my head the whole time.

Well, I am finally going to stop being lazy and start addressing some issues. My front LCA bushings that I replaced back in February with the "awesome" Whiteline bushings are already shot and are embarrassing as hell to listen to. My misfire has gotten MUCH worse but has still not thrown a code. I tried the methodical approach to the misfire and nothing has worked (coming up on the one year anniversary of the issue's start) so I am just going to start throwing parts at it until there's nothing left. Ordered OEM injectors for now, since seemingly anything else SHOULD throw a code. Next will be coils packs. Everything else is new, it seems. For the LCA bushings I am NOT going to fuck with those again. Apparently OEM LCAs come with the bushings installed, so I am just going to pony up the dough for those. These ones lasted 180k miles and 17 years, so I am fine with that...

Pretty bummed about my 4Runner as of late. Driving it makes me so mad that I have driven it maybe twice in the past couple weeks. Fucking irritating.

So is anybody up for Liberty or Gallagher on Friday or Saturday the 29 or 30th?

On my last car, I found a bad injector gasket on the motor side of the injector. Tried to find just the gasket piece at several autoparts stores and they all only carried the gasket at the fuel rail side. Had to get the right parts from Toyota. I was also getting a code for running too lean. On current car (wife's car and it's German) I had a massive vacuum leak at brake booster and was getting code for cylinder misfire. Once I got the leaks sealed (both sides of hose were cracked), CEL has gone away. Vacuum leaks can be nasty things.

My brother just rebuilt the front suspension on his 4runner. What a pain in the ass. Lcas, ucas, swaybarlinks, shocks, springs as well as rear shocks and springs .....Toyota sure likes using cheap fasteners on their rigs. Please pb blast all the bolts a week ahead of unbolting any of it otherwise you will drill and tap a lot.

His has no rust at all and his LCAs just came off not that long ago so it shouldn't be a big deal

I bought these seat covers off another member on here but I should of checked to make sure it fits. I'll sell it for the same price I got it for as well. Pm me if your interested image.jpg

Good thing about winch's is that it's just a pretty basic electric motor right? High torque low speed. I don't think you throw em out you just open them up and rebuild. I once saw a built Suzuki rocking a Warn from the 60's and running just fine. I haven't cracked one open but I'd love to at some point. Gotta put the electronics degree to work every once in a while(since I don't at work).

My "May" winch (may work, may not) needs a rebuild.
Not even Dwayne Johnson could spool it out under free spool... poop

I forgot I have a bachelor party in Portland the night before. So I'll probably be a little later in the afternoon, hungover and covered with glitter

Try smacking the winch with a rubber mallet. WARN's repair guy said that sometimes the contacts on winches can get corroded and stick, the mallet trick can break them free.
You are technically supposed to open the case and grease it up with... some sort of goop, I don't remember what he said... on a yearly basis to prevent that issue.
