I can see why some could call this kid spoiled. If it wasn't my kid I would thing the same. He is my step son, which I have adopted because his birth father wanted to get on with his life 4 years ago. In other words didn't want to pay any child support any longer. That was awesome for me. This kid survived leukemia when he was a baby, with his mother by his bedside for one full year at WVU hospital in Morgantown. This kid shouldn't be here right now, but he is, and is now playing varsity football, has had straight A's through every grade of school, in all honors classes, never getting a B in his life. He also volunteers every weekend helping children with disabilities learn to play baseball. The kid sometimes is up till 1:00 in the morning doing homework after football practice. That hard work and dedication has him on track to receive an appointment to the US Naval Academy where he wants to study nuclear physics. I am proud of my son and he and I researched all of the components for his truck on this site. With everyone's advice from this site and David from Toytec's help, he has a great truck.

I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
That's a good kid. You and your lady sound like good parents. But he is a good kid. I have two teenage girls. Raising kids in this fucked up social media driven world is no easy task. I've determined it's far more than simply being good parents. You either have a good kid or you don't. They either have something deep inside them or they don't. It's a little of both. Kid deserves something nice and it sounds like he will take good care of it and actually appreciate what he has. Problems come (spoiled kids) when they don't appreciate the nice things in their life... That includes their parents.

I'm not mad, parents gave me everything I needed, not wanted. In the long run it doesn't matter what you are handed in life from others. It's how you learn from that and grow. Some fall to the side depending on others, while others thrive on their own.

Got my tsb taken care of. Noticed a difference in delay from P to D and R to D. Still trying to see if there is a big difference with gear shifting. My truck drove fine for the first 1k miles then started shifting rough and having the delay. Hopefully this worked if not I'll be right back to the dealer.

Is this the trans flash update? If so, my dealership took 2 damn hours...and apparently its a 24 minute operation on the computer.

Hope they can get you into a new one.
My first one had a lot of problems too but it had a build date of OCT 2015.
I've been lucky on my 2nd one except for a squeaky leaf but now I can get it to squeak to show the dealer.

Bought mine in Las Vegas. Have it serviced in Fresno (near home). Asked for all the same checks at 5k service. They never even blinked and did it all, no questions. It's the dealership, not Toyota as a whole that's balking at the request.
