^Yea I'm thinking of upgrading the ICON coils for the plate that's going up front

 

I thought I had read that the next step from 885 if adding weight was to go to 887, and then 886 because they're stiffer? I don't know

 

I think it is 885 and 887 are the same spring rate but 887's are longer for more height. 886's are higher spring rates meant to deal with the extra weight

 

That might be it. I knew I was thinking if I got rid of the 885s I wanted to get the 887

 

I'm guessing that for the height I want, UCAs and diff drop won't be needed, but that the extended brake lines would be. Sound about right?

 

No.

UCA's = maybe
Diff drop = no
Brake lines = no

Try the lift 1st and if you are lucky like me you can get it aligned without any problem. If your alignment won't go back into spec then upgrade the UCA's

That's the setup I had on my 09 with plate bumpers front and back, winch, full skids and sliders.

 

Hm.. with the weight of the skids/sliders I wonder if I'm going to need to have to upgrade the suspension from stock. I mean personally I like her the way she is right now...

 

You might need to update the rear lines only but as others have said the rear shocks are usually your limiting factor. I have the OME too so the droop is probably the same. I have my shocks with the factory TSB 4 leaf pack and 2 Chevy springs as AAL's added in and mine is fine. Different shocks with more extended length would most likely call for the new lines. Probably the best thing to do is to is to put the suspension together 1st and slowly lift the truck to see IF the lines are being pulled on and if so then they need to be replaced.

 

Get a fat to chick to sit in the car and see what happens. Sliders are ~125#, skids ~125 assuming 3/16". So get a fatty loaded up and see where it sits

This is true but running my dakars and stock lines, the lines were starting to max out at just ride height. I only have a toolbox in the back of my truck but still. I definitely needed them for the shocks I'm running
