Another one of my pride and joy but a side angle with pop's 06 dclb sr5 making a slight appearance

Then I just need to colormatch the grill and black out the badges. I'll either buy a nice rear bumper or paint the stock one, haven't decided yet.

you might like to try dipping them first. it's easy and you can run that color for a while then peel it off and try a different color. my truck is basically identicle to yours so i tried black on the grill and rear bumper and emblems first. if you use black on the grill don't use the glossifier over it. then i peeled off the black and dipped the grill and rear bumper white which lucky enough is almost a direct color match. use the glossifier on the white it helps to prevent staining. it's a durable finish that's cheap and fun to apply. just remember multiple coats the thicker it is the easier it is to peel off if and or when you'd like to redo ar change colors

i also ended up debadging the entire truck i found that after i dipped the emblems black which looks really good it is also hard to get all the dirt out of the emblems and keep clean

I like that white bumper. I hadn't thought about it before. It looks damn good.

Do you have any advice for removing those ugly plastic stickers on the rear flares? I was going to trying pulling them off and using some Goo Gone, but I don't want to ruin the paint.

In the sun ... pick at a corner ... peel it back almost right back onto itself ... 3M makes a great cleaner/remover ... I've used it for about 10 years ... not oily.

if you are reffering to the chip protectors you could use some heat i.e. a hair dryer to see if it'll loosen them up. then when you get them off a mild reducer/thinner to remove the glue i used that when removing the glue from the badges. then used a cleaner wax on the entire area after. don't over heat though you'll soften the paint. personally i'd leave the chip protecting films on to protect the paint as long as they don't get to looking too bad. if you decide to try your hand at plasti dipping there are also plenty of videos on you tube. i didn't remove the rear bumper either time i dipped it. i did remove the license plate and the tag light housings then taped the rest. it can be a little tricky removing the tape on the ends of the bumper where the curves are so save a little dip in case you need to touch it up

Yea mine are pretty bad, they are outlined with about 2mm of brown from water getting under them. On the white truck it is very noticeable.

maybe try what the other person said first and put it in the sun and see if that'll loosen it up enough to remove it that's a good idea then whatever you can to get the glue off

noooo don't scuff the chrome that's 1 of the really neat things about it you just clean it good and then before paintng i wiped it down quickly with some mild solvent. when you peel it off your chrome looks like brand new or at least as good as it did before you dipped it
