Surprisingly other thar just routine maintenance, 2 clutches and 2 sets of brakes. The 22R engine was a great engine, had installed a header a new carb but engine was indestructible.

Back in 2011 my brother who lived in St Louis at the time invited me to his house so we could go to the NHRA US Nationals in Indy that year . That weekend we were in Indy it was on /off T Storms and 90 plus deg and insane humidity

I felt like I was going to melt it was so F'n hot but I survived barely LOL!!

Now my brother lives in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii and it's really humid there . He told me I can come to visit in the winter months as it's cooler

Oh by the way I'm at the Toyota dealer right now getting my 60k mile service done . As usual I'm being asked if I want to sell it LOL!!

Yeah you certainly have the "dry" heat there! Gets hot enough though that heat is heat!

I've been to MCBH back in the late 70's spent 6 months on the rock. 6 months was long enough it gets small eventually and glad to leave paradise. One of my friends I hunt phez in SD with is a retired Navy Capt. and has a house near Pearl yet and spends 6 months there and the other 6 months in Boston. Easy to tell which 6 months where. Couple of winters ago he sent out an email complaining it was down to 67 and he didn't have a jacket it normally stays at 72 all winter. It was -22 here and I told him to put his big boy pants on. Of course I followed up with Sir :p

High humidity and heat crushes me anymore. 85 and climbing here now real feel 91. Heat advisor for tommorow through Friday good chance it will hit 100 now. It is that front that is moving East, get to enjoy it here first LOL. Got an invitation to shoot sporting clays at a private club on Monday over in Wi. so taking the afternoon off from work to run over there. High of 80 on Monday that is more like it but still warm, at least for me.

Just got back from the Toyota dealer for the 60k mile service and can't believe how much more power I've got !!! , even the tech doing the work told me it doesn't even feel like a 4 cylinder . He said it feels like a supercharged V6 With two less cylinders . It actually can get the tires to squak on hard acceleration from a stop

The throttle response is unbelievable , it doesn't feel like what it was prior to the service . The plugs looked a reddish brown on the ceramic which indicates octane booster but otherwise in great condition for 30k miles

Even the transmission fluid looked good for 30k miles also and no clutch residue in the pan . Can't wait to see what my fuel mileage is now , I know there will be a improvement

^^^We feel your pain here ;). Currently 96 with 46% humidity for a heat index of 105. The awesomely wonderful thing that sets us apart is it never friggin cools off. It can easily be 100 at ten o'clock and 90 at 6 AM. How people managed to survive in this place before AC is beyond my comprehension.

It's currently 105° right now but I can't tell because I'm inside my place with the AC set at 68° . Last time we had a excessive heat warning it was 104° at 2130

On the Okie thread there was a recent transplant from No Cal that was complaining about our heat and humidity - last May .
I need to check on him to see how he is holding up.
