Put it together Nicklovin! I'll be coming from Apple Valley so I don't anticipate I'll be making the trip to the arcade.

Keep me posted on dates. Depending on how far up into the eastern Sierras you go the weather starts turning mid August. In mammoth the winds pierce the bones to start and the rains start in august/September. Camping in Alamabama Hills (lone pine area) is fun primitive camping and literally on a cool off road trail. It's an easy trail but lots of history and adjacent to plenty other easy to moderate trails. There aren't any super difficult trails until north of Bridgeport but the views are gorgeous. If time permits I would suggest to do a couple days in the eastern Sierras and then hit Death Valley for some experienced 4x4 required wheeling. Plenty of butt pucker wheeling in DV.

Edit: thanks Deny for tagging me on this. I tried quoting you but my cell gets screwy sometimes. Haha. @digitaLbraVo

I have read the same trip report. Its great. We have to set something up for this. I really want to go to DV this year.

I'm in for a night run this Saturday for sure

Oh yeah. This area is gonna be fun. We should start early though. Be at the staging area around 8. Beat the heat and all the riders

Its a great time of year to hit up the sierras. I would be down to go as well if somebody familiar with the area wants to set something up.

I'm pretty well versed of the area from lone pine, Independence , big pine, bishop, Bodie, and on up into Mammoth. I just can't commit to any dates as of now since I just started a new job and need to accrue some leave first. Good news is I start at a 30 day leave accrual rate per year so it won't take long.

As for Death Valley I think a November time frame would work best for me. I'll have the leave needed for a fun getaway.

I cant go during Thanksgiving week. I like to party with my large family on Thanksgiving. I'll still go in November or December though. Christmas is something I can bail on. (too expensive these days)

Have you been up in the northern cali area? When I had my 4x4 we would go up to grass valley and Colfax. Awesome little towns and TONS of trails, and the scenery year round is just amazing
