That's what I am considering... I'm about 30 seconds from buying the 881 coils to pair with my 5100's.....

Do you want the truck to ride really stiff? Like drive over a toothpick but feels like driving over a railroad tie....if so go with the 881/5100 combo. If not look into a full OME setup

paging @scocar ! :angrygirl: He had both on his 1st gen once upon a time. If I were to do it over again I would have gone with the 881's and 90004 nitrocharger shocks, not 5100's. live and learn...

so basically, the coil gives you the lift and the nitrocharger shock absorbers the impact?

Yes, coils vary in height and strength that will affect the overall ride height. There is only one nitro charger shock that OME "technically" offers for the 1st gens (98-04). They "technically" offer 2 different types of nitro charger shocks for the rear for these 1st gens (98-04).

Here's my 1999. It's a SR5 TRD 4x4 with the AT and v6. It was my first truck and I love it to death but I just got a 2016 DCSB TRD OR 4x4 and now it's time to sell this one sadly. She's got 282,000 miles and runs like a champ. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

It's called a "Satoshi grill mod". They are custom made. If you type that in the search you can find some how-to's on it.
