Copperhead tastes like chicken

 

Are grass snakes common? I've never seen one before. We used to catch garter and milk snakes growing up, never seen the green ones though.

 

Yeah, so does rattlesnake. Stringier, though.

Common enough around here.

I see probably 7-8 a summer. They blend in well when they're in the grass, so you have to practically step on them to notice them.

I had those on my old truck, s10 zr2, and loved them. Can't wait til I can afford to throw some on the taco. Thinking about trying to stuff 285s in there. Probably will do a lift first lol

Lol, 285s will definitely need a lift to start and possibly a CMC. I didn't want to go that far with mine.

 

I figured, although I thought a saw a 3rd gen fit 285s on a stock setup. My plan has been to do suspension first from the get-go

 

You can fit.285s on a stock truck. Lift only matters at static ride.height, once you start to cycle the suspension lift height doesn't matter

 

I ran 620s @ 0.85 with my ARB, the Icon AAL without the overload and 5100s out back.

I kept the factory rake. Even with my cap I still had a bit of a rake, definitely wasn't level or nose high.

The ARB dropped me approximately an inch on stock springs.

My UCA setup was stock and I didn't have enough caster per the specifications commonly posted here. I didn't find the steering to wander. I also didn't mind the ride but don't forget I came from a lowered Accord with a stiff suspension and the STi which was stiff and bumpy. IMO the ride from my old truck was better and sportier than my new one. I used to throw the old one into off-ramps whereas the new one I'm terrified will end up on its door handles. I did need the ECGS bushing however.

I don't know how it would be without the bumper. I don't think I would have pushed the front shocks to 0.85.

 

Good to know. At this point I don't think I'll be putting the 5100's at .85. I'll have to look into sometching else for the front

 

Why does the higher spring rate give less lift? I have the 620 lb springs that shows it provides 1.6 inch of lift, and the 600 shows 2.5, 3 with the top plate spacer.

Yes they have differnt length springs, the 600# are longer.

 

Well, shit. I probably should have the descriptions better when I bought the 620's
