What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I thought about doing something like this one as well small suggestion, throw in something like BIG SKY EDITION. And maybe an off set color, the green on mine turned out amazing. Pictures don't do it justice but i get a lot of complements. Also I hit up your friend to go ride we will all have to plan a trip to take the tacos out too!

 

Put my AVS vent visors on a little bit ago! Don't feel like waiting another year for weathertech to get off their asses and release theirs!

 

Looks great! I love mine. They change the look of the truck for just being a piece of plastic on the window.

 

I'm about ready to do the same. I can't believe how bad Weathertech is at get their products to market. You see all their ads saying how great they are but everyone else beats them to market by a large margin.

 

Nice.. I added mine last weekend. Definitely makes the truck look better.

 

Truck is driving perfect after tsb update yesterday. Put about 100 miles on it today with no hiccups in shifting. No delay at all from p to d and r to d. Gave it a nice bath as well.

 

A big Sky edition would be awesome

Ya it does, you know how weathertech advertises that all their products are made in the USA but their window guards are made In Germany lol!

 

Did you go with the ones that stick to the outside of the window? I'm not a fan of those but to each their own. In channel ftw imo

 

I bought AVS in channels after my weather techs were taken off the truck. So far they are great except for the fact that FedEx damaged the first 2 sets that were sent to me...so I have a total of 4 sets. The ones damaged were all the right front window, all other guards are good. So if anyone with the same avs in channel need a replacement and you're in So Cal. Hit me up.

Anyone in So.California know of a good place to get calipers and drum brake painted? Don't like the rusted look and don't want it to get there. Any good spots?

 

Mine goes in tomorrow, I've got the TSB in hand, they better not try to convince me there is nothing wrong with my truck, when I took it in for 5k service I asked them to check the fluid level, he told me there have been no reports of problems with these transmissions and then did the ole' " It's going to be at least 4 hours until we can check it, it has to cool down" so I just took it home. Recently coasting to a red light, then the light turned green I gave it gas, it hesitated, then clunked into second gear.

 

I've always used VHT high heat engine paint and painted them myself.

Has anyone removed their instrument paddle shield? Mine is all scratched up and I was wondering if there was any real need for it?

 

Get Eastwood Caliper paint, it's easy to do.
