I'll start since I just secured my tacoma.

TRD Off Road 6MT Double Cab
    MSRP: 34458
    Cap Cost: 33000
    Residual: 75
    Money Factor: .00148
    Sales Tax: 7.9
    36mos./12k mi.

    Monthly: 308

    Approximately 4200 due at signing.

    $187 lic & doc
    $650 acquisition fee
    $308 first months payment
$3150 buy in of maximum security deposits (get money back)

Then in 3 years I will buy the truck for 25800. Leasing can be a good deal if it fits your current circumstances.

I don't have a 2016 or a lease. I will, however, keep an eye on this thread in the event it becomes as interesting as the last discussion on leasing.

That thread can no longer be found, it was that good.

Yeah leasing isn't a horrible idea on these because they really do hold their value so well.

Ya. Good luck getting a 3 year old trd off road under 30k. Maybe I'm wrong on that but I couldn't find one within 500 miles under 32k.

So if all goes well ill buy the lease out-for 25800 and sell it to have a good deposit on a trd pro.

When it's all said and done ill have rented a trd off road for like 6-7k over 3 years. To me that's a great deal. Just gotta play the game.

    Toyota Tacoma 2016 "lease".
Or as I like to call it pay half now half later.

    Deposit 1000
    Due @ del. 13760
    $165 x 39 months (38) 6422
Lease end value $21734. (24342) tax incl.
    ---------
-> Total cost once bought out 44524

    cost @ cash price 43300
    1200 extra spent.
    Includes dealership undercoat.

Interest 2.99%. Canadian dollars / pricing 2016 Tacoma DCSB manual.

    24000 km/ year allowance.

165 bucks a month is a drop in the bucket. I had money in the bank to pay cash for it out right, by why pay Toyota full price at delivery, when I can keep the other half in my bank for 3 years. Secondly if this engine / tranny turns out to be a flop, in 3 years I can 'give it back to them' instead of being stuck with a lemon I can't sell.

Don't care if you don't like my creative banking or not. 1200 bucks interest over 3 years is also nothing in the big scheme of life. Also the 14760 down payment was my old car sold + work bonus for the year. So really I cared even less.

Lol everyone hates on leasing, but you can always bend the rules.

My only advice is NEVER TURN IN THE TACOMA AT THE END OF THE LEASE.

sell it, trade it in, private party sell it.

You'll get a few thousand dollars back.

Has anyone tried the Costco program for leasing? Or at least using the quote you would receive as leverage elsewhere? Their "invoice" prices match exactly with the document that was posted on another thread. Also, not sure if that can be combined with the Grad rebate that Toyota offers but that would be great.

    It sure could be combined.

My problem with it is that the costco program offered me a very high price composted to what I ended up paying (about 800 below invoice).

good to hear. My plan as of now is to start with Costco, and try have others beat the price.

If anyone has a quote on a DCSB SR5 4x4 V6 that would be great. Looking for the SR5 Appearance package (tow, alloy rims) and possibly the tonneau cover. None of the upgraded audio or anything.

I have a DCSB sr5 with appearance package, but I think I got ripped off lol

Anyways was in a rush to get something quickly as I would be driving more for my new job so I traded in my Silverado.

I believe my out the door price was $35k after the low jack and GAP.

    $500 down
    $450/mo.

Buy out will be about $22k

Also working on my credit and I was able to get tier 1, but not tier 1+

Sounds like you got a less-than-good deal, yeah. I think I could have put my keister in a 4x4 trd with tech for 35k... And, with Toyota, for Tacomas,i believe the lease money factor for tier 1 is the same as 1+. BUT, with how even-numbered those payments sound... They likely played with sale price and money factor to get to a number that you said you wanted the payment to be at (by the way... Don't shop based on payment in the future).

Yeah definitely learned my lesson, first time leasing and honestly wasn't planning on buying anything that day.. They got me!

Was actually on my way to a jeep dealer to see a wrangler and I had some time to kill so I walked into toyota and drove out with a Tacoma haha

Good thing it's a lease and didn't commit to a purchase

A lease is just a purchase with a defined point that you may pull out.

    How's it treating you?

The good news is, your SR5 in 3 years will be worth more than 22K. Don't turn it in!

Good so far. Since I wasn't in the market for a Tacoma when I bought it I wish I would of done a little more research as to the different models and packages.

I bought it in February and they only had 3 tacomas on the lot. All I knew is I need something smaller than my Silverado that was lifted 6 inches and getting 10 mpg and something more reliable.

Yes definitely going to trade it in to a different dealer or private sell if I do get rid of it.
