I have a 02' 3.4 liter tacoma. I noticed that when I start it at a cold start it's idle is low. Before it used to Rev high and gradually go down as it warmed up.

    Possibly the IAC Valve.

I'm having that same issue right now but with a 2.7L, have you ever been able to find the culprit and solve it?

I had the same problem on my 2.7, and it wound up being the IAC valve.

Did you just replace it with a new one or cleaned it? I cleaned my MAF Sensor, Throttle Body, and IAC Valve and replaced the gaskets as well but it left me with a really noticeable high idle. The low cold start idle hasn't really gone away... it idles low for a few seconds after cold starting then jumps back up to 750 then slowly rises to 1000rpms.

I cleaned my IACV first and tested it. It worked when I applied 12V to it, so I thought it was fine.

I kept having problems and eventually broke down and replaced the IACV with a new one. That was 2 years ago, and I haven't had any problems since.

Maybe mine needs to be replaced too. I cleaned it and made the mistake of not testing it before putting back together but after cleaning the maf sensor, throttle body, and iac valve it resulted in a high idle around 1000rpms and after running my truck for a bit or even just revving the engine it raises to 1250rpms but no more than that and it doesn't come back down.
