If you go back a few pages I joked that hopefully you all have baby hands in order to get the washer and nut on the stud near the antenna.

The issue I was having was trying to put the nut on without the washer falling off in that tight space. I could only fit one hand in there at a time.

To remedy this I put a piece of tape on the bottom half of the washer to hold it in place. Then, I could focus on only having to contort one hand in there to put the nut on the stud.

You can do that as well. But I'm lazy. So, the tape on the washer worked for me.

Me too. I actually used one of those magnets on a telescoping rod that you use to grab drppoed shit out of your engine bay to hold the washer in place while I screwed it on.

Anyone who wants an easy installation. Is like 5 fasteners. Though I have my stuff apart all the time so I don't even think about it anymore.

I was actually going to use my telescoping magnet thingy but my garage is a mess right now and I didn't feel like wading through the disaster zone. I already had tape out. So, tape it was.

I drilled at first, then removed the pos clamp and it's been free floating for over a year .. sometimes at 85 mph (speed limit where I was driving at the time)
I tried all kinds of different Velcro and double sided tape, nothing really works that well. I'm running fiberglass fenders though so the neck is angled a little more than with oem fenders

My plan is to build a custom bracket using fiberglass. We will see how it comes out. Not crazy about drilling holes right there
