Me neither, I went out on a whim before buying it. I had watched almost every review video online possible and read as much as I thought necessary before pulling the trigger. I purchased through my local REI store and the guys who build the bikes their had nothing but good things to say about it. I'll give you an update this weekend, but even aesthetically and the quick ride around the block I can tell this is going to be an awesome bike. I couldn't believe how insanely big the 4.8" tires on it look in person

6'6" pretty tall for making bikes looks normal. It has the same saddle to bar drop as my XC bike. The 27.5" wheels don't help make it look any less dorky.

I bet you feel right at home on that Hightower then. I bet you looked downright silly about 7 years ago when there was nothing but 26" wheels going around

Yup. I was an early adopter for 29...laced up road rims from DT in about 2003 on a custom 29er frame.

If I find my old 26" SC Bullit...you guys will spit on your screen.

if you're doing a hitch rack, a tray style is the only way to go. I love my Thule T2. Holds bikes securely and keeps them from rubbing together. I also have a tailgate pad which I use sometimes as well. But for longer trips, definitely using the T2.

Ah same here..I've got a fork mount attached to the bed rail. Taking off the front tire is fun especially in freezing temps

I personally like the wheel try style. https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/bike-rack/hitch-bike-racks/thule-t2-pro-9034-_-1689769

I have owned both brands. I have the Thule that I sent you, but from a few years ago. Picked it up at REI returns sale (garage sale) for $45. Been using it for years. The locks don't work but I use a cable lock instead. From my experience Yakima uses tighter tolerances resulting in a better fit and finish and quality feeling. I sold Yakima for years and my family owned bike shop just switched to Thule so now I am a Thule guy because that is what I get deals on.

I just got my new Spot Rollik built up last week. A few rides in and it blows my mind compared to the Tracer 275c I was on before.

The Thule one and many others tilt down..but you don't really have full access to the tailgate...just the side of it...perhaps a corner. I mean FULL access...like sit on the tailgate and eat your lunch with your riding buddy.

Or like load a pallet with a fork lift...

Or like have a candlelit picnic with your s/o to celebrate your 4 month anniversary...

Or like collapse in exhaustion laying prone in the bed of the truck without having to climb over the rail...
