do icon, and if you ever have to have them rebuilt, icon is right there in riverside, and they swap your coils for free as long as you buy the coils

 

from my experience they have been more then awesome. very helpful

 

except for Kings cause they are the best

 

i almost went king, then after talking to icon and weighing in on how close they are to me, the customer service, and quality of their kits, it was a no brainer. kings are awesome too, but it also bugs me bc i see more fords and jeeps with kings haha

 

good shocks have bottoming cones that progressively stock the fluid from moving before it bottoms out. It's still a hard hit because the cones are very short, but it makes the impulse longer when you bottom. But it's better to have good bump stops, instead

 

@Mike likes Tacos @SlipperyTaco Looks like I'm going to have to make some sort of bracket to mount the raptor lights. My grill is different than yours where I don't have a top section that I can mount the lights to.

I have the 6112 5160 combo. I have been very happy with the performance. I think the extended travel of these shocks helps with the topping out issue madman steeze is describing.

They still do top out though. I don't think I have noticeably bottomed them out yet.

When I researched solutions, I thought kings icons fox were just overkill for what I do.(slow wheeling) those kings sure look bad ass though.

hmmm weird.... wow you go so much room in there lol how about on the black mount tabs there it will be recessed but if they are symmetrical i would do it. You could always hook a 9V battery to them and test

Can't you just drill through the top lip of the grille, or does your hood rest on that

 

Looks like the issue is the flange to mount to is too high so the lights would not be visable

 

There isn't one in the center
