I consider mine noisy, but nothing like that. I get that click at the bottom of the stroke, but would say it's quieter than that.

Ok, got the call from Stampede Toyota in Calgary who had my truck in today for the TSB.

They didn't do it.... BUT, there's some hope.

They said because the TSB is for the American market, but my VIN is included, the service manager can submit a request to corporate essentially asking for approval to implement the TSB on a Canadian vehicle.

They said they can process the approval to corporate Monday morning, expect a 24-48 hour response time, and then should be good to go with implementing it immediately after that.

Maybe everyone should send an email or call or something? See if Toyota Canada will get off their wallets.

I have owned 7 Toyota trucks since 1987 and to say the least this 2016 by far is the worst. My latest issue is a leaking AC system, waiting on compressor fluid.( new type of fluid),None available in Canada until around the end of July.Trans was acting strange,Not shifting from 5 to 6th while using cruise, hunting for gears between 4 and 6th.Trans 1 liter low.ECU reset.Seems a little better.I asked about the TSB.Toyota's answer: not available in Canada but possibly will be available if enough people complain. This was Toyota's answer on the phone.I guess this is the new and improved Toyota Canada!!!!!

Squeaky wheels get the grease. I plan on calling and being a little rude.

I brought my truck in and they basically said they couldn't do the flash because it wasn't applicable to my engine (v6). I referenced another poster who got the work done in Calgary and they said it had to have been have done to a 4 cylinder version or they lied to him in order to appease him.

It might not be as crazy as it sounds. There's a different tsb for ECM flashing to fix transmission issues. It's for 2tr engines only. I'll post the tsb number in a bit. They said there was a big pow wow including warranty people who said they weren't allowed to do the flash until it's been approved for Canadian sold vehicles.

The TSB number they referenced is T-TCI-4343 and it's and the ECM upgrade to correct transmission shifting concerns but it's listed for a 2TR engine as opposed to a 2GR (v6) so they didn't apply it to my truck.
