3rd Gen Quicksand thread

Quicksand of course!

 

The cap's an ARE V Series and i have 2 Front Runner Slimeline IIs and Featherlite tent up top.

 

Been trolling the forum for a while waiting for my first Taco to come in. Thought I would make my first post. Finally picked it up and threw on some Fuels w/ some BFG KO2. Owned full size pick ups my whole life, but have to say im extremely happy with the taco.

 

I have a full size truck and was wondering how it will be going back to the smaller truck. I expect my Tacoma to be in at the end of Aug. I like your wheels by-the-way.

 

Thanks! The transition has been fine. I really enjoy driving the Tacoma more than I did F150-250. Only real neg I've experienced so far is packing two child seats in the back facing forward and my daughter kicking the hell out of the front passenger seat...lol Other than that the truck has been more than accommodating for me.

 

What tire size did you go with? I feel dumb when it comes to tires and rims. It also doesn't look like you have a lift. Do you have one or going to get one? Thanks

 

So I just noticed that it looks like the 5 foot bed does not have the lines that carry from the cab back. Look at the pictures from above. I'm kinda bummed now because I could not get a 6 foot bed with manual transmission.

 

You won't miss the body line there is only like 3-5" of bed there.

 

I'll have to jack it up and put some big tires on it then I probably won't notice it...well that's what I will tell my wife anyway

 

Where does the remainder of the 1' longer bed come from?

 

Very excited to be picking up my Quicksand TRD OR DCSB 6MT tonight after about a 2 month wait since ordering! I'll post some pics soon...

Another Cleveland, Ohio Quicksand here. Just got home from the dealer. Time to get dirty!

 

I ordered my DCLB OR in quicksand On 7/9/16. Can't wait.

Quicksand is by far my favorite color of the 3rd gen. I test drove one and was as close as it gets to pulling the trigger on buying it. I slept on it and changed my mind. But I still love seeing them. Some great looking trucks in this thread.

 

So did they tell you it would be 8 - 10 weeks? Did you get a build sheet as I have heard others did when they ordered.

 

And the project begins.....lots more I want to do but very pleased with the start so far.

Haven't owned her 24 hours yet but the mods have begun...salex organizer, interior LEDs, reverse LEDs, license LEDs, homelink mirror, huskey floor mats, 265/75/16 BFG KO2s, Leer 100xr with keyless lock, pet screens, roof tracks & removable rear slide window.

More mods on the way but it's a good start for day 1!

 

Sp4mike where did you buy yours in cleveland? I've only seen 1 other quicksand around south side
