We are on the fence about making a transition on the top. It is barely noticeable.

Plus, the hoop will block it once we make the hoop for it.

Not sure if the previous owner was just really short or for a better perspective when on the trail.

How does the color match and did you remove the grill? Im seriously considering this as an alternative to buying the color matched.

got lucky the plasti dip white matches te super white. yes i've popped the grill out every time i've done it. now to clarify i mean i removed the entire grill from the truck not that i seperated the surround from the black piece i taped the black off

if you do dip it i recomend applying about 6-8 coats of white (thin coats) and 4 of the glossifier. it doesn't make it really shinny but it does make it easier to remove bugs and more stain resistant when working on engine

remember to clean the surface really well but don't scuff it if you were painting with regular paint i would say yes scuff and use an etching primer but not with the plasti dip. just get 1 can of white and 1 of glossifier. don't use regular automotive type clear on it it will make it hard to remove. just tape it up, clean it and then i wipe it down with just a little reducer if you don't have that use alcohol and i don't mean jack daniels

Yes start with a light coat or two get a base down. Then go heavier the next coats, make it look wet. Dont worry if it looks dimpled or textured it will smooth itself out. Just dont run it. Do 6-8 coats as suggested, its easier to take off if its thick.

Plasti dipped the wheels and then painted the emblem with acrylic model paint.
