    I think it's power. The more the better. So if you get a 1st gen pokemon with a high arc your evolutions are going to be real strong, vs. having a short arc and evolving a little more arc

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    But when you upgrade one, it goes to the right further. I saw something about people capping out and having to wait another level in order to upgrade it again.

    Arc doesn't move when you evolve.

    Edit. When pokemons evolve, arcs arent affected.
