Went in the right hand one in the pic and out the left one using winch. Both were bad ideas
The mud was really soupy.

 

Wow that picture says a lot. The degree of that mud I would of make it. It's totally different than that picture. Now it has a 4' drop straight down and a mud pit. Water filled that pudding part. Where you entered, it was a deeper drop than that.

 

Yeah 4 feet sounds about right. I just pulled up my underoos straddled the notch stomped it and when I hit it just bounced off my skids and spat me out on the beach!

I'm to lazy and that's to much work

 

Harbor Freight sells exhaust pipe expanders, I used them on my squashed tailpipe. I'm in Lynnwood, you can borrow them.

My plan is to get a sheet of plywood and cut it to fit in the truck, cut it in half and put it on top of the plastic crates I use to organize stuff in the bed. I like to use time efficiently, I'm not lazy

I've been on lots of trips but I've only slept in the truck one night. I put the crates 2 deep down one side and there's room to sleep beside them.

 

The platform is cut in half for easy removal when needed. Also, camping gear and other items fit perfectly under the platforms! The only thing that doesn't fit under is the cooler, but we just put the platforms on top of each other and the cooler on the open side... when camp is set up, cooler goes in the rear cab at night.

 

I'd meet in Cle Elum to do this. Who would lead this expedition? What time to meet? Where to meet?

 

You could maybe fit those plastic long, wheeled bins like they make to go under your bed at home, a couple on each side that could slide out! Would protect your gear from dust and water.. Btw I got some lil rubber plugs at lowes to jam in the drain holes in the bed so that water and spray don't get my stuff wet. I just pop them out when I'm not camping.
