There's a reason I still have my 250: It's fun to ride.
And I've had similar experiences with 600's or Liter bikes and my 250. On the highway or a straightaway forget it; they've got me dead to rights. But on a twisty back road if I do my part I can walk away from the big boys pretty easily.

Another wicked hot day today. Day 2 of 'reduced energy consumption' in my office. only emergency lighting on and no AC

 

lol. One of the few advantages of working in a windowless warehouse is that the 3-foot concrete and steel fire wall makes for a hell of an insulator against hot days.
The downside is that on a hot muggy day you step outside after work and just about faint. The warehouse usually stays in the mid-60's, so stepping from that into a 90 degree day with high humidity is a real shock to the system.

 

I love how the only time they think about those types of things are when it's extreme. "It's going to be hot as balls today, we better conserve energy and not run our air conditioner today"

 

Yeah it sucks. But we do have about 3,000 employees across 4 buildings on our campus. So i bet our grid provider asked if we could cut energy consumption in exchange for a big $$$$ credit.

Now if some of that credit finds its way into my quarterly bonus check, im ok with it!

 

Dam $2 worth of steel and he get $40 .

That sucks! I hate when companies try to do that... The money is better spent making the buildings themselves more energy efficient or better insulated, not sweating out the office.

We're in the wrong industry.

Also been thing about getting one of these. I also want the grill though.

 

I wish I had a way to bend steel that thick, the only option I have is a two flat piece design with a weld holding it. Ideally I would probably drill/tap/countersink the backside, suck it down then weld it but with these skids I don't see how that would function with only one mounting hole. I'll draw something up this weekend since I'll be doing some design work this weekend. Maybe I'll make something that replaces that corner of the skid with a solid steel weld in solution that retains the two factory mounting holes. (Sorry rambling my thoughts)

Removed my sidesteps last night - went to get in and out of my car on my way to work and completely fell out of my truck...

 

Yikes that's like 1/8th the cost of a bumper!

The duplicolor Bed Coating has been drying for about 3 days now and its still soft. Is it supposed to harden?

But yes. Maybe try putting it out in the sun? The humidity you guys have down there is probably slowing down the cure time, but 3 days seems like a lot.
