What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Do you know what they did to get those stupid smears to stop? I have one on my rear passenger window and the front driver window that keep coming back.

Finally got around to installing the factory bed lights. I wasn't keen on tying in to the cargo light as it suggests in the directions. I ended up mounting a Mercury switch inside the tailgate so the lights would turn on automatically when I open the tailgate.

 

No you are not reading all my posts, what I am saying is I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD off road DCSB 4x4 MGM, when I ordered my truck I had the dealership add [FACTORY] remote start which is the one that is on a 4 runner, I don't have the factory part# I was saying go to toyota.com build your own, pick 4 Runner then go to accessories and you will find it. I still stick to my comment your dealer is blowing smoke, if my dealer can do it for me your's can do it for you, the only requirement is you have to have smart key or keyless entry.

 

I think that looks better than the actually TRD wheels, nice to see something different, That color goes really well with the silver.

is the color for the rims gunmetal?

 

I think the part number for a 2012 - 2016 4Runner is PT398-89140 - https://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=334341. This has to be programmed into the 4Runner's ECU with Techstream, though. I'm not sure how they are making it work on a Tacoma.

 

FNwheels calls it something along the lines of "Dark High Gloss Gunmetal" and that picture is not of my truck but another members. Mine will have sky blue decals on my BBP Trd Sport.

 

Those look great. I like how they hug the body and don't stick out too far.

 

Thanks glider_guider I tried to find a part# for him but could not, all I know is its on my 2 factory fobs and is the same as on the 4 Runner according to my dealer. I also found another forum going on 3rd Gen Tacoma,s (2016) page #2 also regarding this topic.

 

I installed 3in ome 888 w dakar leaf pack. Bronze f5s. Cooper st Maxx 255/80/17. I have some serious rubbing on the bottom of both front wheel wells on the corners of the frame. Trimmed all plastic now do I have to trim my frame?

 

Got the TSB reflash taken care of today. I went in with the TSB in hand and had no issues with them doing it.

It does seem to drive a bit smoother. Not sure if its because of the reset or the reflash... And it could be straight placebo... So this post is pretty much worthless

Did you replace upper control arms? if not, you may have to. Wheel alignment could also take care of this.
I have 255/85/16 tires and do not rub at all.

 

Yeah you're going to have to do the cab mount chop. Look up "cmc Tacoma" BAMF sells plates to weld on for like $18 shipped. That's who I bought them from. Just did It the other day
