probably because you went 80 series profile tire.

The circumference of the wheel/tire combo is too big for the wheel well.

At Toyota of El Cajon waiting for the TSB. No questions asked. Really cool folks over here. While waiting I found Marty McFly's Back to the Future truck. 20160722_121140.jpg

According to the service writer they ended up replacing the rubber/felt strip at the top of inside door panel. Smear is gone. Had this from day 1 and was a royal pain. The dealer opened it on 1 visit, found nothing and sent it home. I personally have repaired/replaced window motors/regulators for many years. I told them before this visit that if they did not find the problem that I would video myself finding the problem. Started auto tech training 42 years ago so I am a little more than a shade tree mechanic. I just know there are only a few possible causes on a new vehicle. Overgreased tracks, etc or motor tossing grease or regulator carrying grease or, my primary suspect, accidentally placed or spilled grease on the felt or rubber at assembly. For an average Joe this is fairly easy to diagnose. If was not under warranty would have been fixed months ago. Copy my previous post and take it the dealer.
