    Hello TW,

In the search for a new tonneau cover. Figured I'd ask you all. What is the best bang for your buck tonneau cover in the 200-350 range. With decent security and easy use of the whole bed. At times I load bikes in the back so I need the whole bed. I was debating between the roll up and trifold.. I was leaning towards roll up because it would be easier to access the whole bed however I was told some trifolds are easy to take off and set aside when I need the whole bed.

Was not looking to spend an arm and a leg. Let me know!

Also I'm sure tonneau covers help aerodynamics. People that have them. You see any slight different in mpg?

Going to be tough to find a secure trifold in your price range.

No difference in mpgs with mine.

No I have the Extang tri-fold, no noticeable gas mileage increase, but I would be willing to bet on a long haul with wind and weather you would fare a bit better MPG, although probably negligent to the decision of hamburger or lobster.

I'm in the same boat. Found the Lund Genesis tri-fold on Amazon for $266. Anybody have experience with it?

Do you recommend the cover? Is it easy to take off if you want to use the whole bed?

there is a mythbusters episode on this. They proved that trucks get better mpg without any covers because the air spins around in the bed and creates kind of a shield that the air passes over and off the back off the truck. With a cover the air will pass over the cab and down onto the cover.

Save a little and get the Solid Fold 2.0. It's been solid for me.

Bought my truck in May 2016. Installed a Extang Solid Fold cover. After having it replaced 3 times and it's now July I will tell you to find something other than Solid Fold. They changed the quality of their product and it's no good now. Sagging in the top and wavy ripples in the cover. They quit using aluminum in the product and it just doesn't hold up. Here is the 2nd one that was put on my truck 4 hrs later after being in the sun.

I have an Access Lorado rollup that I got for $350. I'm really happy with it so far. It actually stays tighter than any other rollup I've seen and it's really easy to install using the rail system in the bed. The only downside is that it's not very secure being a vinyl rollup.

Wow, that sucks. A lot of folks have the SF2.0 and not many report issues. Maybe they had a bad batch of materials. My truck lives outdoors 24/7, and the cover has been flawless.

Stan23 they did have a very good product when adding the aluminum in the product. For whatever reason in the last year they quit doing that. Lots of post on Tacoma World dating back to the middle of 2015 with the same issues I had.1 full year is not a bad batch just a bad product. I asked to be sent one with the aluminum in it but they don't have that product anymore I was told. I wish I could say differently because my father has the solid fold on his dodge and it is a super nice top. They're are some good tops out there that were made that is for certain but 3 different tops in a row straight from the manufacture is unacceptable in my book.
