Engine issues on my 3rd Gen

Since you drive quite a bit, you might look for a local detailer to add some stuff to your truck. For instance, the Xpel film kit for the front end would be smart to cut down on rock chip damage. You should also consider covering the entire vehicle with some type of hard coating. I have a Modesta glass coat on my vette. After my detailer cleaned and polished Dusty, he coated it with Modesta BC-04. See http://www.modesta.co/bc-04-nano-titanium-glass-coating.html

Really depends on how you want to treat a black car or truck. As someone already said, they are a career. Here's the finished product on mine...

Crankshaft Position sensor failure was a common problem in the Ranger 3.0 V6 usually around the 100k mark. Sorry about your truck OP but I'm glad your dealer made it right for you.

 

Absolutely stunning! I have long used Zaino Products (https://www.zainostore.com/, and while I've never had black before, some folks are posting pics with similar results, with a few coats of their show car polish.

Was anyone able to restart their truck and it keep running?

My buddy's truck died on my driveway. Transmission temp too hot and something about the battery. But it started right back up with no lights or readings and we drove 40+ miles.

 

I was after everything cooled down.
