    busy day got out early and cleaned the truck, went grocery shopping, autoparts store, lowes, finished cleaning the house, weed eated, push mowed the yard, cleaned off the porches, fixed the flag holder, and took my second shower for the day. it's a little warmish hope ya'll are staying cool. gotta get back at it no rest for the wicked and my wife is having scrapbooking night here tonight, great, a house full of women i'll hide in the basement

    You know if your still bored.. I did the parts store this am, dropped truck for transmission service ( I REFUSE TO DO THAT WHOLE PROCEDURE IN THIS HEAT), weed wacked , mowed no not push mowed not with my knees and ankle , power washed the dog kennel walk ways and such, got the laundry started and still rolling. This whole being an adult thing SUCKS!!

    I'm a Telco lineman. At my barn, there's only 6 of us,and the average age is 55.(Layoffs 6 years ago got rid of the "younger" guys,Thanks at&t). New company took over a year and a half ago so they're slowly(very slowly) adding linemen.
    I'm in for 33 years now, so if my ducks line up, I'll be out in under two.

    My last job the average age was 57. I never dreamed I was going to be the "young apprentice" at 53!! We would all stand around and look up at the upper gantry robot (about 25 feet up) that just jammed. Then everyone would just look at me. I would just start taking off all my gear and start climbing.
