I didn't know that. Thanks for the info! Why did you decide against the paint protection?

Remember that the new Ranger will be a 1st year build also for the USA.

its those 3M panels stuck on various places, even though the technology is better then it was years ago (they use to discolor to a yellowish hue) its a $500 add I didn't car to have. At certain angles you can see it. I prefer debadged and clean lines with my vehicles. You must engage your dealership contact STAT and have them request with there regional allocation specialist what items you want removed.

Understandable. I'm also curious to check out the F-150 if they pair the new 10-speed transmission with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. Chances are I'll stick with a mid-size truck to replace my Tacoma, doubt it will be another Tacoma though.

Definitely not buying a beta model from any maker after seeing the 2016 Tacoma roll out. Second or even third year for me.

It'll still be on your rocker panels in the back (all tacomas). And yes the 3M is a subpar brand, there's some others that do better when it comes to yellowing.

I'm aware of those (not my first Taco =)) but didn't want the hood, front fenders, mirror backs, door cups and door edges gaurds.

I'm going to call to remove most of my options. Only ones I'm thinking about keeping are the TRD air filter and predator tube steps. Any opinions on mudguards? I'm thinking of going without.

The Predator tube steps are SPENDY but I do believe they are the nicest steps I have personally seen. Id skip on the air filter and just buy a K&N one or something of that nature if you are wanting different from stock. I would personally have mudguards on mine but that is me? Do what you think is best for you!

I'm mostly concerned about the hood graphic. Should be easy enough to remove, but I think it's part of the pro package. Not sure if you can exclude it from the factory.

Keeping fingers crossed that door badges will come off clean

Hood graphic should be fairly easy, the sooner the better to remove. As for door badges, Toyo doesn't use stemmed badges so some fishing line, some minor heat gun action and adhesive remover. Should be fairly easy.

It's also too bad you can't do a straight across TW hood swap with another non-scooped Cement... Price you pay for having a unique color, I guess.

Super White should be possible though, if that's your thing. People would kill for a scooped/graphic pro hood. Just sayin.

    Make a Pro with
I get it, I also understand the need to have a Pro to say you have a Pro...so build one that's really meant for off road with a real locker, who cares about Rigid fog lights, they won't get you unstuck!!! Give me roll down Windows and real AT tires. Make mud tires an option, not a moon roof and a JBL stereo. Are true off roaders really blaring their music, or are they listening to what the truck is doing. I'm sure you're not going to hear Cindy Lauper or the Culture Club blaring from a mile down the Ribicon Trail. I don't think Anthrax, or the Gratful Dead are going to be playing either....you get my point.

I know, the majority of people buying these are not going to take them off road.

Back in 1995 I was able to get a Ford Probe GT with all the goodies that back then made it a decently fun car without leather, power windows, sunroof or a rocking stereo. I could just buy a stripped down version of the car with the 16" wheels and tires with the V6 and 5sp manual. Thank you Ford for taking the MX-6 and making it a fun affordable car.

    Toyota, take notes.

I said I think...After taxes, fees, levies and PDI a Limited in Canada, at least in B.C is $52,100.00. How can a Pro be cheaper when it's essentially a limited with extra goodies. The slaespeople I talk to say it's going to be more then a limited:eek:

These VIN's are place holders for the real thing. Drop you VIN from your build sheet into this Toyo VIN decoder and it should come up as a SR5 from 2015 (at least thats what mine came up as.)
    http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Toyota/TACOMA

The biggest telltale is the last 6#'s of your suggested VIN provided on your build sheets, they should all be numerical. This provides the production number within the TRD Pro family your vehicle was produced. If its true they're only making 3k of them then the highest last 6#'s on any VIN would be 003000. The below example should also help you cipher slightly, this is just an example from the world wide web. Pretty cool resource when wanting to learn more of these things.

*Now if they would just make a price decoder we could put a bunch of this hoopla to rest on pricing. Cant wait until someone starts a "TRD Pro Pricing" Thread and folks start to receive and share!

Good explanation, thanks. Same thing I've always been told about the end of the
string - the last 6 should be numerical.
