steveo (cant keep a straight face when I type that name)did you try their nut brown?
Capt that sounds great - I think I will try that out. I always go for the grapefruit sodas like Squirt or out here they have, I think its new, the Polar Grapefruit Dry.

Excellent stuff. Local bar had it as a guest tap a few weeks ago and now it's gone and I can't find it anywhere. :pout:

Agreed, I have tried about 3 Grapefruit shandys recently and Travelers is the best so far.

I don't generally drink beer "cocktails" but when I do I don't drink the watery domestic shandies. Start with a traditional German hefie, a traditional English ale, a Czech pils, or a Harp lager and add some very lightly sweetened homemade lemonade. Or for something different start with a hoppy northwest style pale ale and add a little dry apple cider.

I like to do a mix of 3 Hoegaarden, one ginger beer, some sprigs of mint and a sliced up lime when it's really hot out.

This one is good if you're in San Diego and like both sours and Shandys. I'm not sure if it's still available though. Grapefruit and ginger [IMG]
